ActiveCampaign Stripe Integration Overview 2023

I've been watching your videos non-stop! I have a more complicated issue as I have a subscription-based biz with several statuses that change frequently. (Free, Active, Incomplete, Unconfirmed Email, etc.) and levels (Business or Freelancer) For example, our "Incomplete" (abandoned cart) Sequence is successful so the status changes to Active,

The Stripe / Active Campaign Integration does not permit pulling the AC user ID - MUCH to my chagrin. So, I have to use Zapier and a "Find Contact" Zap according to the docs and searches.

I keep getting: Failed to find a contact in ActiveCampaign The app returned "Contact id or email is required. (422)

So now I am going in circles.

I disconnected the AC/Stripe int because it was causing multiple triggers and despite a "remove tag" the tags were not removed (multiple triggers?) and new and current clients getting both Welcome AND Lead sequences. How embarrassing.

Am I on the right track with using Zapier?

What am I missing trying to pull the ID from AC? (.... and WHY is this such a challenge just to get the AC ID?)


It would be AMAZING if you did some videos on SUBSCRIPTION-based automation versus a single purchase. So trialing sub, paused sub, resubs, new subs and abandoned subs etc and all the changes can be triggered and sent the correct sequences.

But I need to pull the ID first, UGH! Help me Help me Obi wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.

I want to track when a specific product is successfully charged. How can I do that?

How do I figure out what resource and event I should be using?
