Kinda funny, the process of leveling naturally feels more true to the game, but in reality, you get better at skills by constantly practicing, not doing them periodically. Anyways off to make 300 iron daggers.

I can't imagine why anyone would skip any skill book. Even if you never, ever use that skill it still counts toward leveling

Way to suck the fun. Whats the point, just play on PC and use the console to bypass all the bs, or enjoy the actual game.

I know this is an older vid so you may not see this, but if you do..... I;m having a world of trouble getting wax & stoneflower from the Kajjhit. I;ve spent about an hour saving/reloading and only got 1 wax. Any hints?

To get a bow of banishing, do I need to do the attack and reload save trick?

Many thanks! I'm trying survival mode, and I'm going to see if I can level up enchantment quicker using the duplication trick for the Destruction and Illusion staffs and the heart stones. I read that levelling up with the staffs enchanter in Myrwatch is much faster.

As an Illusionist, you can also cast "Calm" on each enemy before killing them. You will likely get inheritance letters from their families.

In survival mode (without fast travel), what would you suggest would be the best ways to upgrade Alteration and Destruction? 🤷‍♂ Thanks!

Do you have to use a banish daedra enchantment on the bow or could you use a different enchantment

Serious question: how can you do a Mage build with such a crappy control system. Do you not need multiple spells ready to go at a second's notice? Genuinely curious, I have always avoided builds that needed a lot of abilities due to the terribad controls of this game. But I am a mage-player at heart.

Hey Mike….after you finish the guide…did you stay a vampire? Any negatives other than loosing the enchanting bonus if I get cured?

Its not worked for myself. I have everything worn and I’m a vampire but the enchanting will not go above 110. Even when I drink the potion, it remains at 110

EDIT: Ok ...it was a horrible UI interface for PC. You have to select Gem, then item, then enchanment, then hit YES for number of charges in box, then hit R to craft, then click YES.... FFS what a shitty interface!

Ok so I am at the part where I need to craft the 220 or so daggers with Banish. I did the first iron dagger, Banish, and petty soul gem. But when I go to do the second it wont let me select the Soul Gem. I tried selecting the soul gem, then enchant, but then it wont let me select the item. I have 91 Petty Gems that are filled. I even tried backing out of the Enchanting bench and back in... still cant. I am on PC...any ideas?? Also I am not running ANY mods...vanilla Skyrim AE. Very frustrating!

The Alternation-trick didn’t work for me.. I used Telekinises, held it, then traveled, but nothing happened… destruction-tricked worked though

Bloodmage is what I love as a playstyle.

OMG, I'll be trying this asap! I wish there was a way to make casters viable from the very start, but I've never been able to kill the 1st Dragon with "nothing" but my, "twirling fingers" lol. Maybe if I max everything out then casting will be = bows for the early game.

I followed this guide to 100 in each mage skill. This method was right at 8 hours. I don’t think I ever actually maxed out ALL mage skills at once! Time to create some arcane havoc in Tamriel!

Why would you ever want to skip a skill book? Doesn't it help with progression towards levelling up overall, even if it's for a skill that's useless to you?

Did you know when doing the dark brotherhood quest and your in the abandoned cabin, use cleravoince (how ever its spelled) 🤣 and it shows you who of the 3 to kill

Unbounded fire spell comes from mod or is it in the original game? I've never seen it before.

65 Restoration is sufficient as Collette will sell Circle of Protection. Once you buy that, it's a lot faster for leveling to 100.

Well, you lost me when you did the attack/save spam on Farengar. If you can't do it without 'cheating' then why bother?
Also, why is a female in her underwear considered 'naked' but when she's in a bikini she's not . . . ?

Why are you blasting the bandits with lightning? use fire and/or ice, Lightning is for mages.

I really try to play Stormcloaks for variety, but choosing them just makes me feel like an idiot. It's not the logical choice, after all.

I love playing a mage. Even though it's easy to power level magic, I like a more organic growth. I'm probably in the minority here. I'm so used to playing with magic, even with the novice spells, I have a hard time being a warrior. With the role-playing aspect, I like going to college and practicing my spells. You see Colette does it all the time in her room with Detect Life, Circle of Protection and such. There is also the issue of the enemies leveling with you. Overall, there are some good tips here that can be used at any point in the game. Thank you.

I'm not the type of guy to play mages normally, every time I started playing Skyrim before I ended up with heavy armor and two handed axe. I really wanted to try playing as a conjuration + alteration mage on my previous playthrough. Who knew that alteration sucks and that you need to summon stuff while already in combat to level conjuration. Long story short I suck at playing mages in games and really would like a good suggestion or an advice
