Is that kusanku kata? I’ve heard it has connections to a tai chi form

I have a video idea you could compare karate styles with a tang soo do master like you did with sensei Seth.

The more and more study martial arts the more and more realize that a lot of the moves are the same. The only differences are tactile functions, or simply how it looks for example, like karate and tai chi are very similar and probably can be used in similar combat fashion. It’s just that the way that you do it is how effective is gonna work.

This is very good but like always it's best not to versus his best to take every aspect as the man is the art and make it into one as all ours are the same you know it doesn't matter what you call it whether it be kickboxing whether it be savate muay Thai sanda there's still kickboxing it's the same with the various Kung Fu systems will there be Southern whether it be no I still going through it doesn't matter same thing with the karate systems is still what karate will there be close range or long range the point is to be the very best to read the enemy to go out there and just do it to understand to fight offensively and defensively having everything sharp and to succeed in to be the very best whether it be external internal thing with the weapons the point is just that to be superior there is no this and that combined it all as one to create greatness it is the man not the art the enemy will forever always have only two main weaknesses that can be exploited and never miss not even the smallest detail while being fast sharp and accurate and deadly well done

Both arts are heavily influenced by White Crane style. Taiji = White Crane + Tong Bei + Chen family arts. Karate = White Crane + Shuri-te + others.

In my study, I've learned that Kalari Payatu of India found its way to China. China developed Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, etc. Then, it found its way towards Japan in the form of Karate. Interesting history!
