Im not a professional but amateur woodworker from Sri Lanka. I made a jigsaw table without the blade support but its difficult to control the work piece that jumps with the upstroke. this is terrible. why is that.where have i gone wrong? please help me.

Too complicated with a lot of use of tools we don't already have. we need something simpler.

Found it interesting that for the circle jig, it's totally optional, but really useful. I'd change that centering peg to a few different length machine screws with the threaded part at the bottom and grind the threads smooth at the top, that way you'd end up with a variety of different centering pegs so it's not necessary to penetrate the wood piece all the way through (some may not need/want a hole to fill)

The upper bearing block could be made slightly better by adding a bearing behind the blade like a lot of band saws have. This keeps the blade as rigid as possible so it cannot angle back while pushing wood through and would probably take some stress off the jigsaw itself.

sir please add a ball bearing to the back of the jigsaw blade on top others you will just end up blunting all your blades also it will stop the blade pushing back and give you a better cut, hope you understand and thanks for and excellent upload,
