Not only does the mother die just before the babies are hatched, but the father dies after the deed is done in the first place. They undergo a sort of rapid-onset aging, so they literally give it all they've got.... So all octopuses are literally orphans.... That said, I'm pretty sure that's the only reason WE are the dominant species on the planet and not THEM. Imagine if the parents survived and were able to pass down information/knowledge/skills.....we wouldn't stand a chance.

I don’t believe in atheistic evolution. Refrain yourself from spreading atheistic propaganda. You can talk about natural selection which causes micro evolution.

Honestly our biggest problem is definition’s themselves. We say words like intelligence and life and start to classify objects and things into these categories but that’s the problem. Things are more complex than our understanding.

Definitely, octopuses are aliens that got stranded on Earth and have to live in the ocean because humans are too idiots.

Do any species of Octopus or maybe any individual of the species broke the appointment with Death set by evolution?
What if their eggs are stolen before her last tug of fresh ocean water? Will she start eating again upon witnessing that and try again?
Can they be taught to keep eating and stave off starvation?

Would it be accurate to say that the tentacles are like miniature minds/individuals and the main octopus mind tells these tentacles neurons to do an action and because they’re smart and have “minds” almost, these signals can be more complex, instead of an just an action, it can give it a task such as disconnecting and running away? Idk just a thought

One could even go as far as to call me a Morbid Hippie, but we’ll elaborate on the morbid side another time. 😆 Genuinely appreciate all the aWeSoMe videos, & all the laughs.. and binging your channel has yet to irritate the husband, even.. that in itself is a major achievement 😂 aha.
