I’m 100% f2p and have Taras and harima….I’d just like to give my take from real life experience I used to play “game of war” and I was so addicted I ended up spending money I really couldn’t afford to spend and I lost my home because I missed 2 mortgage payments which made my wife leave me it really messed my life up luckily my wife took me back and I promised her I’d never spend on games again and I started playing raid not long after I’ve kept my word fully and although I’ll never be number 1 in arena or top damage dealer in hydra I’ve found playing f2p much more satisfying because you really have to use your resources sparingly and you get into the routine of beating raid at their own game and even if I won the lottery tomorrow I know I wouldn’t spend because I find it more fun not to….I hope this reaches at least one kraken who thinks they NEED to spend and they realise they really dnt

Have not spent a cent on this game never will its pixels it gives me nothing for the future and dead honest after waisting so much time on 10 accounts its not worth it.

Like this playing doesn't seem a lot of fun, only the addiction! ☹

As much as I love the game as a free2p player games like these really highlight the need for some real legislation to try protect people that are vulnerable enough to put this kind of money in a mobile game

I think this is more a video on solidarity rather than a typical reaction video. Serious gambling addictions can lead to people borrowing money and can cause collateral damage to people you care about. Way to keep the video light-hearted enough while getting the message across!

Raid is basically a casino, but your winnings will NEVER effect your real life positively.
It's a time suck & you never get your time back once spent.
I guarantee you, the top 10 players are "employed" by the dev's, if not dev;s themselves. To create the desire to spend.

I have spent 20 bucks on this game but I have played it off and on for about 2 years or so. I still have no idea what I am doing in this game. I do however really like it and it always draws me back, maybe the thrill of the hunt for that next champion. Or maybe its the commercials lol I love the ones with Death Knight and he makes me want to play. I have been watching your videos recently and have been learning about building champions and teams, which has helped me alot lol I figured out I was doing alot of things wrong.

Macchan quit because he realized he could literally spend every penny he earns, and still not get taras, marichka, or harima. He was chasing those three champs and just couldnt get them. Go broke, or quit raid, lol which is it?

Love your videos Ash! i don't play Raid but i love keeping up with the game. what you said around the 5 min mark about sponsorships is so true and potential whales should take that to heart. its one thing to spend money on a game for an investment and another thing because you are addicted. Too many whales get stuck on the latter and end up hurting their QoL chasing pixels where the smart whales have a revenue stream to make that money back with interest.

For me this game is easy. I don't pay a dime. Prices are way too high with no value for money.

I'm really shocked that it took this man $100k to understand what gambling and spending money on video game characters is actually worth. I feel bad watching this. Been there, done that, spent like $2-3k and never had fun with it

Raid has a paywall. The questline grinds to a halt when you need to get in arena silver III, which is not possible without paying money. So after 4 years in Raid I had to quit as I don't want to throw money at a game, just to progress. The casino is rigged, of course!

I'm a F2P. Never spent a dime. I'll never be top anything on any of the leaderboards. Lost In Teleria(LIT2). I treat the game like pokemon, trying to catch em all. And I never will. My favorite parts of this game is; getting new legendary champs, and the CvC events. Working with your team for those edge of your seat last second comeback battles. I don't max out my contribution to CvC Everytime. Gotta rotate the point winner within your clan. But everyone needs to contribute. But it's still fun!! And gear just costs too much to fully upgrade. But it's still exciting!!

I been playing for 3 years I have not spent any money on shards, books or gems. I have bought energy packs with autos. But I'm still missing Kymar, Trunda, Rotos, Siphi, Draco just for example. I have quit buying energy packs 2 months ago and quit spending so much time in game and I can already tell I'm falling behind.

IT'S A GAME! Not a way of life. I get more satisfaction building up characters from scratch and seeing them work! That's it. It's supposed to be entertainment. There are many games like this Ready To Fleece You!

i would love to be abule to buy stuff in game.

I was about $1-2k per month. Just sick of it. We get charged to put equip in our storage! We should be able to trade champions. I am over it!

i agree with him dont spend anymore because if they ont change the drop rates ,,,= they dont care about us ..this game cold be awesome with just a few tweeks and changes.... ie like token trader for legendarys why havent they refreshed those 6 toons been what 9 months now and they sck ..... chnage it

This has always been the case though, there is spending to progress and then once there you will be spending to stay in that spot, that is the way of the mobile free to play market, sad but true and you are also a content creator so you will need to showcase and so on, sad reality.

Raid has become a mirror of a toxic/abusive manipulative relationship with it's player base. It is destroying the game. The point should be, if you spend 100k on the game, you damn well better have everything - full stop. The patterns are there, they are manipulating the odds for all accounts so ppl don't get what they need. It's being rigged.

2k one month is not 25k a year. Still he says 1k per month to keep up. Ash you are right. Keep up with who? Play the game with what it gives you. Spend a little for the gem pack, raid card and some energy. Sit back and have some fun.

It is very easy to get absorbed in any game. I did WOW then I was hit with the realization of the real cost that you can never get back, time consumption. Money comes and goes. time once used up its gone! moderation is a great thing, but I also know how easy it can be to fall down the whole!

Ash you are the only person I have seen and heard todate that has openly admitted if it were not for the subscribers you would not spend the amount you are on the game. The poor bastard spending the money, well there it is. The game is rigged! There is nothing this game gives you in return, you can't even claim you have a digital asset like say a bitcoin.

But as adults we get what we reap, if I were to asking him to give me $100 per month every month for the next 3 years so I can spend it on whatever I wanted he would laugh, he could at least associate the money with my face and I would shake his hand in gratitude and thanks.

In Australia we have gambling advertisements which at the end of the add say, you are probably going to loose! Content channels like this should give a warning that this and other games like this are a money pit.

Honestly, Ash...I think someone needs to speak more about mental health and how it relates to Raid. I think a lot of the community suffers because of the style of gameplay and business decisions that Plarium incorporates into its strategies. Thanks as always for being real!

Yeah, its true it can be annoying when opening shards, even rare one´s and myself wouldn´t buy any and never mythical shards for the "same" feel like gambling on a slotmachine in the wrong time while in the 0.001% loop. And I see how much he´d play when looking in his arena screen and see how much Gold medals he has over!! And game with N.othing O.r G.ood are always unfair! See one under level 50 and he has already Tartas and Harima in the Arena Team. So I def feel with him when you´ve an account which is an "N" instead a "G". Go forward with your great Job here ASH...THX mate

Update....now have seen the vid from HH and he shows one who opened mythical shards with three mythical champs in a row....is this fake from Platinum?? to avoid more negative meanings?? or how this can be when remembering the words from Chan.....leave me speechless, maybe pensive....

1st, I love this type of video. Because, one, you (meaning all of us viewing) get to see others, facing difficulties &/or triumphs in the game (which then gives you (Ash), the opportune time to voice your opinion), so that it doesn't seem single sided, but, it makes the world of disappointment seem much larger (which takes the massive weight (of spending my minimum of $1,000.00 monthly & makes it appear small in comparison.)
2nd, I feel like the guy in the video & I'm ready to hang up my Plarium Utility Belt. (Just wish there was a "Market Place" (if you will), where people who are fed up, could sell there User Name/ID & all the perks (being Clan President), to newbie's or people just wanting to Quantum Leap forward. To be Fight Ready (because I for one, would be overwhelmed w/joy, to sell mine for the cost of 1 of my many, many months of money spent!
Keep up the great work you do, Ash & never spend a minute on the game, that could be spent playing with your son! You've got a smart one, so hopefully he won't pick up all of our horrible habits (lol)!😂 You rock, dude!
