As an ow player I would really like to get into paladins to see if all this is true but unfortunately I'm a switch player and they just shut down the game on switch. Guess I'll stay enjoying ow for now sigh

I'd generally agree but the Paladins devs lost my favour rather soon by virtue of them... Not understanding the game they made. I recall in its early stages, around the release of Mal Damba, they removed the damage boost item because they considered it a noob trap. Except Cassie could be pushed to oneshot almost every non Tank and Androxus could suddenly use one magazine to kill 2 targets via bodyshots instead of one. I don't understand how a dev wants to properly balance a game if they don't understand breakpoints

I think in paladins they should make some items usable, like nimble you press it gives you bonus speed and ability go through champions, like phase boots in dota2

The healing and antiheal systems are really cool in paladins. Just love the item building and talent choices so much

I've played paladins since i was 12... I'm turning 19 in 2 months and I would still play paladins over OW1 and OW1.2

Paladins and SMITE are 2 of my favorite games of all time. Hi-Rez is an amazing company.

Honestly both games are good I stared in paladins then moved the overwatch 1 and 2 I love them both I switch from overwatch and paladins I like the both games are good ❤

Overwatch is the same boring game over and over. Paladins has more champions, multiple builds for each character. They also add fun and unique LTMs (something OW needs their community to do like that boosted DnD Rein vs 5 players mode lmfao) and they are also replayable due to wanting to try something different with another character with another build. OW is just go over all characters and get shit on because the enemies are going Zarya/Sombra/Moira on Total Mayhem.

If they update the graphics to the new unreal engine and fixed major bugs, they'd be well on the way to being a force that blizzard would need to fear until overwatch dies, this is the fine aged wine of the internet.

Palladian is better than over watch because Palladian has good graphics on switch wich normally has bad graphics and has better characters my favourite is Grover and over watch has to much to do to win.

played overwatch for a bit ( maybe 2 months ) in 2016 when it came out.

found paladins in 2022 when on a gaming block.. enjoyed it off and on for a year.. maybe 13 hours total play time. Now I play it daily for hours on end.

And to address some issues with paladins such as it being a buggy mess and such... there is a lot of talk that the devs don't care and don't listen, and while that's not entirely false in the grand scheme of things is very misleading. Evil Mojo has virtually no funding compared to Hi-Rez lead game SMITE, and because of this the majority of assets are giving to their cash cow since paladins doesn't make them money. This has caused a constant influx of devs coming and going but putting all the work on very few people compared to overwatch. I believe that a post made by Kyptek a paladins community manager stated they only have 25 developers at the moment. This is a very low amount for a live service game of this size and of this age and is the main cause of the poor conditions. It's not a dev issue, it's a lack of dev issue because hi-rez won't give them any money. If this game had a real budget, it would have pushed overwatch out of the market years Ago.

Overwatch is free now so I finally gave it a try and was just majorly disappointed it’s just worse paladins like half the champions not all champions have 4 abilities no talents or build like where is the freedom paladins has so much more and each champion can be played in so many different ways it’s just better

You can swap champs in the middle of OW games, which I think is stupid. Played OW twice and hated every second of it, have 1k hours in Paladins though

Paladins is a good game i personaly like the graphics i have played both but i like paladins more and it would be really good if Hi rez puts some more crystals in the event pass at least 200 beacuse you have to spend money to get the event pass but if you want to get it for free it would take a long time

One of the only problems i have is the bugs. Not the existence of bugs, its pretty much Impossible to make a game bug free, but at least have funny bugs like stupidly cartoonish ragdolls

Even almost a year later this still holds and after the recent fiasco with blizzard basically killing there game paladins now has over 10k current players on steam yaaay :D
