I'll never understand this obsession with stating that Germany would have taken Stalingrad. If they made it to the Volga, the fighting wouldn't have stopped. They would have been easily shelled from the other side of the Volga, while they would have still been mired in the rubble of the city. Germany was never going to win once the US entered the war. The US could have easily defeated Germany by themselves if needed, and if we didn't have to fight an entire war against the worlds second best military on the other side of the world, we would have probably mopped all of Europe up by 1943.

Zhukov, who was preparing to defend Moscow, remembered this well and when conquering Berlin, he did not repeat the same mistakes that the Germans made.

Why the references to Stalingrad in a video on Moscow? There's enough material to discuss and explain while just sticking to first 6-8 months of Eastern Front. Case Blau, Stalingrad, etc. were not even on the horizon when Germans were pushed back from Moscow in 1941.
