Videos like this unfortunately brought me to buying all 3 of these terrible amp sims at once….and then selling quickly before nobody wanted them. Lots missing on them…good sound quality with a crap operating system and no flexibility is not a good product. Notice Ryan doesn’t have them chained together….maybe we should ask UA why?
ОтветитьBetter than the Walrus ACS?
ОтветитьHi, sound is great but how is the dynamic under the fingers ? That's is the big problem without a normal amp unfortunately..
I'm looking for something that can solve the problem without amplifier....
Hello. Excellent demo. What are the outs of the Dream 65 going into? An amp or a PA? What’s your set up??
ОтветитьNot generally a complainer but, fuckin CHEF'S FUCKIN KISS?!?!? YOU USED TO BE COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьJust picked up one of these because of this review! It takes OD's and distortions like a champ. Even running a Revv G3 into it sounds pretty good. Also running a Line 6 DL4 post pedal sounds great.
ОтветитьQuestion one year after you initial post: Do you still love it? How do you use it? Live? Into what: amp or direct?
ОтветитьNo headphone out kind of kills it for me.
ОтветитьWhat is the cable called for using headphones on the dream?
ОтветитьMay be a dumb question, but do you just plug in a pedal like this to any old amp (I have a spark) just as you would any other pedal, or what do people typically play these amp modelers through?
ОтветитьI hope my comment don’t hurt anyone or cause a problem, I bough this pedal 2 days ago and last night I had a casino gig and I was very happy cuz I wanted to play my analog board amp less :
The clean sounds amazing very good
Regular overdrives like screamers very good but when I used the high gain distortion jhs angry Charlie ect it sounded terreble and skinny and the delays get lost too on leads. Only clean was cool. So I’m disappointed cuz the pedal only works well on clean and by itself . I going to the store give it back no point for me use this , the boss got-1 directly sounds 100 times better . So if you only wanna studio work it should be fine but for live and big analog board it went really bad for me.
I’m having issues getting mine clean…gain almost all the way down and volume literally all the way up. Idk what I’m doing wrong
ОтветитьSorry if this is a dumb question! Can this power a speaker on it's own?
ОтветитьI know it's handy and I have used it for recording but would rathet lug a Fender pro junior /wah wah/ fuzz pedal around for recording cos it feels right. These gizmos are versatile but sterile in my humble experience. I am from the old school and that is the where my hearing was honed. I want to use a box but they sound like plastic/cardboard toys...sorry make em sound real. Thanks
ОтветитьI wish there was an inexpensive box with just the great surf sound. No other bells and whistles. I get the other sounds I like already.
ОтветитьFantastic review, love your enthusiasm!
ОтветитьWould it be wise to run these through an amp cabinet without an amp head? Thoughts? I know you can run them into the monitors but it would be nice to still kinda feel an amp speaker.
ОтветитьI will never understand how you can use an AMP sim pedal on an AMP…both sounds mix and we will never actually know what the pedal itself sounds like…
ОтветитьAlthough I enjoyed the music, tones, and explanations, it would help if the reviewer had been more explicit about the signal chain he was using. It wasn't clear whether he was playing the pedal direct to a DAW or using the pedal in-between the guitar and some other amplifier with its own preamp, power amp, and speaker. If the latter, then it would help to know what amp and speaker were and how the amp was set. For the benefit of any newbies, the UA Dream 65 is not the type of amp that can power a speaker cabinet; it's a pedal that >simulates< the sounds of an amp connected to a speaker cabinet.
ОтветитьNIce job.. I realize you just got these, but I wish someone would explain how the presets work. How to clear them or call them up. I am not sure how many presets this thing has. It is not in the manual, that I can tell.
ОтветитьJust received my Dream 65 pedal and it sounds great. What is a nightmare is pairing the pedal to the app with Bluetooth and it's not just me, the forums are littered with customers with the same complaint. I feel I'm only getting half of what I paid for 🤘😎🤙
ОтветитьSo basically it sounds like a '65 Deluxe Reverb if you added 15 extra switches that you don't need.
ОтветитьHow does the UA DREAM 65 take on dirty pedals? sounds good?
ОтветитьIt's really hard to find a good demo about the Dream 65 but this one is by far one of the better ones. Thanks a lot for that.
ОтветитьThese pedals excite me!
ОтветитьThe good fellows at UA did he best job imaginable. This platform they have developed can do any amp. They picked 3 iconic amps. Incredible job on the demo as well.
ОтветитьI think the "D" in "D-TEX" is Díaz, as in César Díaz, rather than Dumble. César Díaz was (amongst other things) famous for modifying Fender amps, for big time players, including SRV, who UAD mention in the manual.
ОтветитьDoes it take a bass well?
ОтветитьI have a question about the dream 65. I’m interested in how that ALT setting works
I’ve been watching so many videos on these trying to figure whether the amp settings stay the same as you placed them before switching to ALT placing the Tremolo effect on top of the amp sound, or if switching to ALT just turns the amp off giving you access to tremolo?
Also is reverb still active in ALT mode?
Great video, but dude.. you don’t need to hit the tremolo arm after every chord you play!
ОтветитьGuys guys guys I'm so excited, I'm gonna leave this comment under every Dream65 review I can find. No idea why they don't advertise this more clearly, but you CAN indeed use headphones with it. I bought a little 8$ adapter cable (Y-cable, two quarter inch inputs to one mini output), and it drives my Sennheisers (HD25) fine. No idea if there are cans this won't work with, but it worked great for me.
ОтветитьNot sure about the dirt sounds
ОтветитьI'm looking hard at these UA pedals. I thought I was sold on the Ruby, but now I'm leaning toward the Dream. I'm surprised how clean the Dream gets for taking pedals. The reverb is great because it removes a pedal from my board. If Ruby had reverb, it may be a no-brainer. But if the Dream can get a bright, clean tone then it may be the one for me. Difference in spending $600 for 2 pedals vs $400 for one that does the work of 2.
ОтветитьWhay is that guitar?
ОтветитьFantastic tutorial! Thai vid really shows how to use this pedal. Great job!
ОтветитьRyan after watching your review I bought one myself this week . It's on it way thanks for the great review!
ОтветитьThe main question is these amazing amp in box pedals for 400€ each or the HX Stomp for just 600€ which offers much more???
How does these compare??
Which would you choose and why???
I watched this demo, and purchased one immediately. What a fantastic pedal.
ОтветитьSRV mod to a Blackface that starts with "D"? I would bet Diaz, as in the Cesar Diaz mod.
ОтветитьWhat would happen if I plugged A DREAM 65 into the front or fx loop of a Orange Thunderverb 200 head? Would the orange colour it?
ОтветитьDid you guys try it in the Fx Return of an amp?
ОтветитьFor those who tried the Dream 65: having tried with pedals, I think it only sounds good when the volume is 9h or below. Above 9h, you start to get a Fender amp distortion, which sounds nice by it's own, but I think it "modifies" the sound of the other pedal too much (I've tried Origin Revival drive compact, Jackson Audio Golden Boy and a RAt clone). Do you guys experienced something like that?
ОтветитьNice review! Does the dream run off a 9v battery?
ОтветитьThanx! Wished they included a better manual.
ОтветитьOK CRAMPS RIFF --YUP DEMO OVER
ОтветитьCan u run them into the poweramp of my tube qmp?
ОтветитьYou were gutting the tone on Ruby where you had the Bass and Treble knobs. Those are cuts, not boosts... the knobs behave backwards from traditional knob behavior if you didn't already know this. And crank the Boost (top boost)... it needs it. Cheers.
ОтветитьI mean the instant you turned it on it was just that classic 60's fender tone that you find in old black white recordings
Ответить
