ОтветитьI too miss the days of Wario having Garlic Install. I get why they got rid of all of those "transformation" final smashes, but cmon, it was iconic
EDIT: ShinSho does that in street fighter as well. From at least street fighter 4, if you dont hit the intial launching hit of Shin Shoryu you get a weaker non-cinematic version that still does damage.
To be fair, if supernova went on for 3 minutes like in FF7, then it would be a terrible final smash. because at least to me, I can't think of anyone who would want to sit through that in the middle of a match. especially multiple times.

ОтветитьI know what you mean when you call a few of these downgrades, like Fox's/Falco's, Wario's, DK's or Kirby's (etc), but let's also accept the fact that they were removed and changed for being too clunky or slow gameplay-wise, and the whole point of Ultimate was to have a way smoother and faster pace (this is why they also butched pretty much every taunt in the game as well lmao, they're all rushed despite being cancellable, Bayo suffered the most from this she looks like she has a seizure on her down taunt)
Basically: "playable" Final Smashes like Pikachu's, Wario's, Lucario's, Sonic's or Landmaster were just a very clunky mess, as fun and flashy as they were i can totally see why Sakurai wanted them gone, and as someone who likes using them when i play with friends, i'm very thankful for it, some dragged on for way too long back on Brawl and were extremely janky, it wasn't so fun using them more regularly than the average Smash player usually would, and now with the FS Meter the simplification was pretty much neccesary.
Fun fact. Wii Fit Trainer, The vharacter entirely built around unique poses. REUSES ONE FOR THE FINAL SMASH.

The kicks Ike does being the same as Snake's nair is probably leftovers from when Snake was modified from Ike in Brawl.

ОтветитьKen also technically has 3 versions of his final smash like Ryu, if the opponent (somehow) falls out of Shippu Jinraikyaku, Ken won’t do the rising Tatsu. I’ve only seen it happen once. This is also how the move behaved in Street Fighter 3.

ОтветитьIf Nintendo wants us to play the game for fun and not competitive, I think they should return some things like the Sm4sh custom moves or an option to do SSBBrawl or even Sm4sh Final Smashes because those were funnier and better. I am tires of animation final Smash and they stops the whole game A LOT while playing with more people than 1v1.

as a xenoblade fan. the names of prya and mythra's final smashes are the same as their level 4 special's in xenoblade 2
ОтветитьBurning Sword is the attacks name in Xenoblade 2, as such the unoriginal naming is not on the Smash Devs, rather, on the Xenoblade 2 Devs.

ОтветитьWhy does nobody talk about how insanely busted Inkling’s FS is? I believe it’s always been the best FS since launch. It’s almost impossible to dodge, it can easily hit everyone in a FFA, it inks everyone hit entirely, and for some unholy reason, Inkling can run and attack during the attack, letting you spam fair, nair and bair easily racking up 100% and carrying across the stage. If practiced well, it’s practically a guaranteed kill at 0 for everyone on screen that’s difficult to dodge
