I'm not sure if there's less of a need for your clipart now. I think it's very subjective based on individual creators and what they need. In my case, I never really had a need for that kind of clipart because it's not relevant to the work I create. I tend to buy from other creators if it's something that I can incorporate into my own work, either for the art itself, or as a way of displaying my art on social media or on products. So I might be much more likely to buy neat brush sets for example, but only if they are compatible with apps I use, and unfortunately Procreate isn't available on Windows, so I was never able to utilize any of your brush packs.
Regarding people being able to make things themselves with AI, there are a lot of issues with AI, both ethical and practical, so there are always going to be people that would prefer to buy clipart that a human actually made. However, it's also completely valid if you want to retire products to make them more exclusive. Just don't do it because you're not sure if it has value. Who knows, maybe you could even bring back some of the current products from time to time on a limited basis. Completely up to you!
I personally would love to see you go deeper. I'll be looking forward to videos on Human Design and how to know if you're on the right path and all of that.
I love your new direction, cannot wait!! I learn from you so much already and I like what you are saying and will be doing. Its like getting our own personal business coach! so much information and new technology out there its hard to keep up, and you make it easy for a lot of us to understand things. Don't worry about being scripted you are doing just fine young lady. Love , love your Grandmas advice and wisdom, I cringe at the thought of doing that in my house , but I feel I need to try it LOL and you bring a smile to my face. Check on your neighbor LOL
ОтветитьI like all your content, listen to you, your tutorials. After cleaning whatever it is, you will feel better for a new start. You are very at explaining tools or how to sell on...
ОтветитьYes, I have felt the need to start over. In overwhelm I do see what you're saying.
ОтветитьI love how your grandma did things. I also love how your brain shifts.
ОтветитьYou are entertaining in your way and it's beautiful.
ОтветитьI'm starting new myself. Thank you for sharing how your grandma did it.
ОтветитьI found Fourthwall through you. It has been a game changer for my business. I appreciate you. I’m here no matter what changes come.
ОтветитьI'm experimenting with Sure Cart/Wordpress at the moment. It looks promising, lots of customizations. Take a moment to look at it. Maybe it's something for you too. I looked at Fourthwall but the homepages look all the same, nothing distinctive.
ОтветитьThere is something that make YOU different from all the others. So more YOU, the better.
ОтветитьWhen I post patterns to Spoonflower, I view other shops. Repper, Repper Repper. I see patterns made with Repper everywhere! So I hide all my Repper patterns and wonder what to do next. Which is why I haven't been very active on POD because I don't think my designs are unique. How to get over feeling like I am one in a million other pattern makers using the same tools. Also, Which of your videos do you share the best sock provider?
ОтветитьThank you! I am looking forward to learning from you next year!
ОтветитьMey I don’t mind you rambling. I love your ideas. I’m excited for you.🥰
ОтветитьI connect with you because our brains work very similar. I love your grandma! This next step is you evolving and I’m excited to watch the evolution! 🫶🇦🇺
Ответитьlistening to you has been great. I'll be seeing.
ОтветитьSo excited for you! I've always known there was a wealth of knowledge to be shared... Can't wait for 2025. Just PLEASE don't stop YT. Social Media is dead in our Home. Was so glad when you started back with more YT videos after the big fiasco a few months back. Love Ya and all you do.
ОтветитьLoved this video and your "rambling"! You seem to have a peace about you. I enjoy all your content and will continue following you.❤
ОтветитьYep, I’m a diehard Mey fan - will watch what you do, because what you do always has value. Love your heart, and your passion - and my head bounces around like yours, so I have no problem following. Hehe
ОтветитьHey dear, Mey. Here are my answers to your questions:
1. I LOVE the idea of you creating a big database (I have spent A LOT of money on monthly subsrciptions for apps I am not using, and I am sure many have.)
2. I also love the idea of you making monthly bundle on the new Meytribe shop with designs that showcase things we should focus on that month and then dissapear - when I think about it, it is probably a brilliant idea (in comparison to CF being so popular and our designs can't really be that original).
3. I would love to see your Google Adsens as well - you are so amazing for being so open with your audience. FWI: OMG I love your granny's advice. I need it sooo much in my life as well, you have noo idea. My laptop is a huge pile of mess with a bunch of started projects, ideas, brainstorming ideas... my ADHD shown in one black box. 😃
4. I also LOVE the idea of 20 business plans so soooo much. I was hoping for a content like that, wheb we commented on your Patreon.
Actually, I love everything in this video. I missed seeing you in this cozy atmosphere where you talk from your heart and connect with us. Also, would be very happy for you to make videos on your life in Bansko, what it's like to be an expact and digital nomad...and hey, would love to meet if you happen to come in Skopje, again, sometime soon. ❤😊
P.S. Congrats on your new mey tribe site! I am sure it would be amazing and I hope it will bring you a lot more money than the old one. You deserve to have it all, girl. You are such an amazing old soul.
You do you as you always have, I follow you because of this. I love your honesty, authenticity and commitment to us as your followers. I love the idea of you being around more in the community facebook page and how you spoke about helping us to find our path, niche, organization, business plans etc, I am so down for that. I have struggled so much over the years with this and any guidance from someone I trust would be amazing. I have learned so much from you over the years and look forward to learning so much more. And change is good, I too have made some changes these last few months. I closed my Etsy store to focus more on my Payhip store but listening to you tonight I may be closing that as well, as I don't want to blog. I guess change is in the air, you have me thinking and re-evaluating my decisions as well. I have been so all over the place these last few years with nothing to show for it, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Love you girl
ОтветитьMore of you!!!
ОтветитьI really need your business plans and organizational ideas I get so lost sometimes and my laptop is a real mess and I need to learn how to organize my files. I’m excited about your new direction. You can do this girl ! ❤
ОтветитьOne of the main reasons I like your channel, Mey, is that you seem to stick to your own style and way of doing things. Sometimes I get depressed with the channels telling me "jump on the coquette niche and make lots of money." Gag! I don't relate to it, and I won't be interested in designing that stuff. Other than having an infusion nurse for my Crohn's disease, I don't care about the nurse niche! I have quirky, whimsical idiosyncratic tendencies, and although the niches are not that big, I have several that I understand and will be passionate about designing for, and maybe would like doing other content that relates to my interest and affinities. Yet sometimes I doubt myself. You help me get out of that self-doubt mode. So, keep following your heart and some of us will follow because we admire your authenticity. You do you!
ОтветитьMey’s Grandma = Rockstar
Excited for you. And for us. I’m looking forward to your database developments!
You got me cracking up with the Grandma swoosh
ОтветитьCan't wait until 2025, I love your content even though I don't comment, but I wanted to tell you how much you are appreciated! Your content is real and honest, and I love your style, and I have to throw this in there but I love your hair, you are so naturally pretty and fun to watch! It's hard to believe you are on the other side of the world helping so many people! Thank you!
Ответитьlove your hoodie vibe...
ОтветитьI would suggest you think about what kind of work you can do for a long time that is going to make you enough money to live first. I used to make databases and that job is very time-consuming and gets boring really fast. Also, most of the apps already have their own tutorial database. I feel like it would be a waste of time to make another similar one on your website, Instead, maybe best to answer questions that people ask a lot and have a hard time finding answers for. Tutorials, answering questions and business tip videos are generally what people watch and enjoy. It can't be a miss.
ОтветитьToo much variation of your hair color
ОтветитьI remembered when you were at 15k subscribers. The first video that I watched from your channel was the how to create editable PDF. I would like to thank you because that video catapult my etsyshop of selling digital goods. And that was in Jan of this year. Today my etsy shop is selling over 200 digital goods and that extra $1500 per month have really helped me focus on other projects. I wish you good luck on your endeavors and your content matters.
ОтветитьI love your community and content. You feel like a distant friend. Sometimes I want to do the empty and reboot too. but I look at the sheer amount of work that is and I know I wouldn't redo it. I would love to hear the business plans.
ОтветитьI started like, 5 comments already lol. I dont know what to say that doesn't sound like rambling!
I have followed you for years, and love most the fact that whatever you're talking about, whatever content you're making, you've ALWAYS been 110% real, and yourself. Never about the numbers or the views or what's popular for the sake of popular - always about being authentic, and building up your community.
I don't use FB, and I know para- social relationships are bad, but I always feel like you'd be a cool friend to grab a coffee or tea with, because you always make it feel like a community of help and authenticity!
Ok...i am rambling. Drat! But anyway, i will follow whatever you do and wherever you move to, and look forward to the new site and blog and direction of channel! Its always cool to see new aspects of your perspective 🥰
Now to go stock up on some clip art and soon-to-be-vanishing graphics from MeyTribe! Love and prayers for your new chapter! 💖🙏🏻
I’ve learned so much from you & it made me brave enough to try new things ❤ Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video and the ramble about your 2025 plans. This community has inspired me to acknowledge my artistic rambles whenever I can.
ОтветитьPayhip is far more flexible than it seems to be, IF you are OK with scripting (and increasingly even if you're not, getting help from AI) because it lets you add your own CSS, HTML, and javascript.
That means that you can use, say HTMX (which I only recently learnt about) which means you can pull stuff in from elsewhere such as pythonAnywhere (I'm generating stuff using Python), which is free, depending on how much you do.
What that lets you do is get all the benefits that Payhip has to offer while being able to do pretty much what you like with the pages. eg I've been playing with replacing a basic PNG banner with a subtly animated SVG one, and including interactive puzzles on the page (because puzzles is my thing).
I'm not saying it's straightforward, but if you like fiddling with code you can break through a lot of the Payhip page builder limitations. (You have to use a custom domain though - which is straightforward and a good idea anyway.)
The day I got the notification for this video, I was literally thinking how great it would be if there was a data base/blog that gives you a roadmap for how to start a POD/online business. That’s amazing! I’ve been so all over the place and having to back track as I pick up tidbits of new information in random places. Very overwhelming. And I’m still trying to find my way, dabbling, but what I first thought I wanted to do is not what I would want to do now. Thank you for all that you do and I’m definitely looking forward to what you have to say, because you always provide valuable content, in my opinion! And, I love that you get how everyone is different and would love to hear more about working from home with a chronic health condition because I’ve been trying to find a work from home for a long time that I can actually do, and I thought POD may be away to do that, but I’m not sure. I still go to a physical job, but somedays…many days…it’s uncomfortable, but I’m fortunate that I still can make it work and do what I need too. But, the future of where I work is also uncertain. Many people are getting laid off. So there is that.
I’d love to hear about your digital nomad journey, too! Sounds interesting! I’m proud of you for evolving and growing, being true to yourself, and sharing with us! ❤
This is so spooky, because I could've sworn you had previously spoken about the database in conjunction your sale, in conjunction with your grandma's cleaning method. Anyways, you/your community has greatly influenced me in just showing me how an artist can brand themselves, stand up for what they believe in, and the various ways one can have an online presence/career. I also love your idea for your newsletter and doing videos on finding your path.
ОтветитьSome of us are not designers yet, just lurking and learning for when we do start. Your sense of humor, knowledge, honesty and generosity are brilliant. ❤ Yes, your merch IS of interest as part of what you share. Don't worry about the background sounds, they didn't come through. What is that mic?
ОтветитьSince 2021 you've helped my entire online journey to continually expand... From the days of RB tutorials & emphasizing designing for 'products' not just uploading to everything, to TP tutorials, to basic seamless patterns on Canva then expanding to Repper... Then the journey to understanding marketing with Pinterest... And I'm not done yet 😅... Then came creating a blog to now introducing me to FW.
It's been an ever expanding and beautiful journey 💞... Then your Patreon video about YT encouraged me to start my channel, even though that wasn't your intention necessarily.
You've helped me to lift my life while I was literally going through a nervous breakdown because of perimenopause.
So whenever, you question your impact come back & read this comment ❤❤
Growth is change. If you plant the same crops in the same ground for too long, they become less healthy and less productive. Rotate your crops, nourish your ground, let things intertwine. Start a new chapter. Be not afraid. It's late here. But just know I've been feeling the same, also moving my businesses to Fourthwall, life kicked me in the head a few times this year, maybe it knocked some sense into me. Folks who journey with you will follow.
ОтветитьThis is a really great video. I stopped my pod store a couple of years ago because the only selling product was a tshirt from a comic, and I wasn't happy doing someone else's design though it was fan/cosplay. Originally I wanted to design shirts with typographic designs on it (Double Dagger Tees) but want sure how to find that market. My Etsy store is still open and I still have a black throw pillow with a white ampersand that gets 1-2 views but no sales. Maybe tshirts was too limited? Anyway, I think I need tips for a plan that doesn't require making 3 social media accounts, a blog, and posting content multiple times a day just to sell pod.
ОтветитьShop reviews are great, but if you show the name and website name it could lead to an influx of eyeballs on the site and no purchases, potentially damaging the CTR. No?
And i recommend "EveryTuesday" if you havent seen her stuff before.
If you keep wearing your own stuff in videos, just put it in an online store so people can buy it if they want. People want to hear your expertise, AND they want to buy your clothes.
Mey, Follow your heart! ❤
ОтветитьI started an Esty shop and I realized after a short time that people don’t want so much of what I was selling which was what every etsy pod seller is creating…generic stuff that creates noise, clutter and overwhelm that as a creator you have to overcome and as a buyer you have to navigate and process. Anyway I feel like creators are chasing numbers, more followers, more empty designs in your shop, more views, more sales and it goes on and on and on…get rich quick yada yada yada. I’m over the hype. I’m done wasting precious time! I’ve done a lot of soul searching and have decided to follow my passion, my heart and I’m starting my own platform in Jan 2025 with my own shop, blog, YT channel. By the way, you rambling is you trying to process everything and you finding your path. It’s a good thing! Anyway, I want the things I create to have a deeper meaning and I want to share my passion and grow a community and just have a deeper purpose. Perhaps this is what you’re searching for too!
ОтветитьI would super appreciate it if you could drop a comment here on how this community has impacted you... or any comment, srsly :)
