No i have seen mother run an leave there cubs if the grizzly is too big

why is that bear white if it's not a polar bear? What kind of bear is it National Geographic did have on it's cover about ten years ago a white bear which I think lived in the forests of Canada; it was called Spirit Bear.

Grizzly bear kill n eat black bears, digging them out of their dens. Black bears wisely stay near trees to escape a grizzly attack. There's a video that show marks on a tree where a black bear, trying to escape a grizzly , didn't quite get high enough in a tree and was pulled down n killed by a big grizzly. Just the paws n head were left of the black bear as well as a broken grizzly claw and evidence of a violent struggle.

I do wonder though in moments like that, the other bear could've killed her. What kept him from doing it?
A, not worth the fight.
B, it knows she's a mother bear, and while not being a current threat it recognizes the importance of that?
C, it was also startled and backed up while trying to grasp what just happened
