Thank you for the talk! Very informative and insightful! Just attended a workshop organised by my company I work for on frdiay and similar ideas, steps and actions I need to take and apply is to learn, develop and grow personally and professtional. Also try, force and practice
ОтветитьVery insightful! Thanks for sharing the concept of these 2 different zones.
ОтветитьVery very informative! Thank you❤
Ответитьgood job
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI prefer 70-80% in my learning zone and 30-40% in my performing zone.
ОтветитьBeautiful presentation on high performing people and learning
ОтветитьThis is one of the talks that goes easy with you.. remarkable
Ответить“Rather than being used for practice, mistakes, feedback, and revision, we send the message that school is a performance zone.” Wow. I never thought about this.
ОтветитьThis is a useful video.
ОтветитьThis should’ve been done in a high school or college the whole audience looks retired the new generation need this information more
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I needed. I always hear people talking about how to get unstuck or to improve and I get a lot of the habit building speeches but this really dives deep into something that you would think is basic knowledge and commonly overlooked. Thank you TED, I really appreciate this video.
Ответитьfirst minute and I already learned something, Thanks!
ОтветитьThis is such a great discussion, and so important, that this definitely needs to be shared around more.
ОтветитьHis example of typing was really excellent, in the 8th grade I took an active effort in learning to type faster and ended up going from typing 15 words a minute to 60 in about a year. However since then my speed dropped and remained constant despite the fact that I type a lot since I haven't actively concentrated on maintaining speed or improving
ОтветитьA life changing ted talks
ОтветитьSimply the best practical advice to bring performance to life , learning to life !!
ОтветитьForwago program helped me not just to build a better-looking body, but to feel healthier and to have more energy. I wanted to share this because I think more people should find out about this amazing program. Thank you, Forwago!
ОтветитьI found his this speech in today's newspaper so i m here!
ОтветитьGreat talk makes lots of useful sense thanks
ОтветитьQ2 again Eduardo, genial la charla
ОтветитьI feel that this video really teaches us how to really improve on how we perform our daily activities. While this video teaches how to alternate between the learning zone where we can improve and performance zone, where we can exhibit whatever we have learned in the learning zone, I personally think that unless we are fully motivated to continue learning, it is very hard to keep alternating between both zones. However, with the examples the speaker has given such as the Beyoncé one or the Greek lawyer, I strongly believe that many will feel motivated to continue learning and improving. After watching this video, I have decided that in order to continue improving in my basketball, I have to continue to watch clips and strategise. I used to always go to the court to practice my basketball and was frustrated with how my basketball skills were not improving. Now, I know that the practice and playing of basketball is not helping in improvement but in fact actually preventing myself from getting better. Hence, I feel that this speech will definitely help people do better at the things they care about. So I think this video is very useful indeed and many people should watch this to take away many great things.

ОтветитьThank you for this.
ОтветитьThis talk is jam-packed with useful information and is incredibly inspiring! I still have to take notes for this later. But I'm super grateful I clicked on this video.
Ответитьif u are not living in the djungel and have access to a computer and internet and u h ave will u can really learn alot nowadays... but some ppl are just extremely talented in beein creative, making music or painting... u can learn these things but it takes a lil bit of EXTRA SAUCE to profit from it..
ОтветитьLove this video! Dovetails so nicely with Influencer Strategy; determine vital behavior and then use deliberate practice in the learning zone. Thank you!
ОтветитьI came here because I'm hardstuck gold in league
This really helped
the word secret of improve vs perform is revealed by Hanzi
tones in my book vol.5
Staying more in the learning zone than in the practicing zone doesn’t offere enough time for the mind and body to take in the new lessons and transform them into habits. My experience about self development is that it works best when I learn once and practice ten times more the new skill.

ОтветитьWho else came here to Improve at a Video Game?
Ответить3-4 times during the video he appeared to be like Ted from How I met your mother...
ОтветитьI didn't expect it.
It motivated me a lot!
I like this concept but I also have to say this: I usually learn through practice and performance.
ОтветитьVery interesting concept.
I especially like the idea of performing and then reflecting, since it can most easily be done by oneself.
But if you can find a mentor, who can tell you about their mistakes so you don't have to make them; that seems even better.
Very helpful !
Ответитьcame here for an assignment
ОтветитьHow to leave here a thousand likes?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьTruly Amazing!
Ответитьmove from performance zone to focus zone.
performance zone: allow works done
learning zone: allow improvement, allow deliver practice
Action:
1. know you can improve
2. purpose of your improvement
3. how to improve
4. know a low state situation??(what is this)
create an island for that(e.g. read, mentoring, execute, experience, becoming, reflection, asking how to improve)
The problem is most overtime workers like me in HK are lack of time for learning and focus zone.
