Seems like a good reason to always have a science ship boosting research on important planets
ОтветитьOne of the things I really liked about Imperium Galactica II was the spying and covert ops options. I particularly liked that you could assign your agents to protect assets also.
ОтветитьIf someone does this to the same empire even if they have already found a cure for it can they just cure it without the research project? cause that would make sense.
Ответитьkinda surprised it doesn't just spawn a new stellarite devourer
ОтветитьNow you can park a few cloaked ships nearby and if you see your enemy researching it too fast attack and delay their special project progress via declaring a war, that is if you can stand long enough till their home system explodes which should weaken them quite a bit
ОтветитьSet War Goal: aTE oUr StAR
ОтветитьI still dont know why there are still no spy stations.
I like the idea of stealth ships. Finally something new and good for my games and scenarios.
Man that's evil ... ha ha ha!
Ответитьi only got this once^^
ОтветитьSomething I’m attempting to do is do this to multiple empires in one go while becoming the crisis. Idk if you can do multiple operations at the same time but it’s something I want to do is as a dearth cult megacorp with teachers of the shroud origin. Like right as I time it right. Like wanting to time it 10 days before their Star explodes completing the last research project for the crisis path having all war be declared on me as their stars soon to start exploding as the war to end and or save the galaxy begins. I won’t have the same amount of envoys as there is empires most likely I’m on console and the max I can have is 10 I haven’t tried getting as many envoys as possible but would be fun to try this as a great narrative. The Pithok cartel will have achieved the greatest sacrifice possible
ОтветитьSo it's good against the A. I. but harmless against a human since you csn build science ships from the start of the game.
Still, I have to do this to my brother, just to hear his confusion :)
honestly glad I'm on console, this sounds like trash, plus the unity "improvements" sound like the ideas of somebody who doesn't value my enjoyment
ОтветитьNice I like espionage steal there powerful star destroyer 👌😎
Ответитьare there espionage missions to steal relics?
ОтветитьSadly it can only be used against an empire once. Doesn't affect artifical structures like habitats and ring world segments.
Ответить...Combine this with Gigastructural Engineering, and you could reignite those stars after the fact. There's a megastructure that lets you ignite a brown dwarf.
ОтветитьI just did this against two of my enemies. I never had an issue with them, but they kept going to war with me for no reason. And this play through, there actually was no reason. Anyway, I got annoyed after the second war fired off, so I just decided to punish them by distinguishing the star in each of their capital systems (there were two empires). Billions suffered and died as the stars slowly died and finally burned out. But the enemy empires didn’t get the hint, as they declared war a third time after they lost the first and second one. So now I’m just straight up going genocidal and cracking all their planets. They don’t have anything I want, I was willing to leave them alone, but they pissed me off one too many times.

ОтветитьI just infected a hive mind empire home star with the star parasite & I'm playing to plant another one to a slave empire who seem to hate my psionic religion empire.
ОтветитьNormal Empire taking years to destroy a single star
Crisis Empire: Look what they need to have a fraction of MY power!
"the hability to destroy a planet is nothing compared to the power of spionage"
-darth "spy main" vader
I just deployed this in a mp game. My buddies were utterly confused as they colonized the wreckage

Ответитьone weird issue I have with this is you can't cure the star as the person with the stellarite devourers.
I had a game where I infested an enemy's capital to rapidly kill off their fortress worlds and steal their science nexus. But then I can't actually cure the star since I don't have the situation.
It would be cool if I could cure it as a nice way of just stealing someone's capital, but also have a diplo option to offer a cure if you have the technology.
i wish you could topple governments with the spy system.
Ответитьtakes way to long, did it in a mp fun lobby, he could easily read entire wiki to delete my efforts in 30 days after 1 year passed
ОтветитьI honestly like more espionage options, as I find myself roleplaying a knowledge-hungry technocracy empire that keeps stealing the heck out of tech of any neighbor... if only we can send spies to fallen empires, a non-violent way to gain their FE ship tech.
ОтветитьNice, and hopefully they come out with more opportunities to launch attacks like these, now I want to make a fanatic spiritualist, criminal heritage/gospel of the masses "terrorist" empire
ОтветитьNo xeno
ОтветитьI'm certain this won't be abused whatsoever
ОтветитьFight the sun guardian and the rest falls like dominoes
ОтветитьKinda like this idea
ОтветитьSeems pretty easy to counter as long as you know it's coming.
ОтветитьI have some 3500 hours in Stellaris but had no idea this scenario existed.
ОтветитьI love how this seems specifically designed for use against AIs. They aren’t as good at performing time-sensitive special projects or keeping science ships in one place for very long
ОтветитьUsing aliens to “mass remove” other aliens is peak Stellaris
ОтветитьDoes it kill habitats as well?
ОтветитьWow ! You need to conduct that operation on several stars to be effective though.
ОтветитьMy buddy and I were messing around as determined exterminators and he started giggling as he blew up capital after capital with the Stellarite devoured eggs.
ОтветитьIs there any way to prevent them from doing the cure special project other than going to war? When I tried it, the AI Empire just cured their sun without a problem.
ОтветитьGives me Project Hail Mary vibes.
ОтветитьBut you aren't going to upgrade Nemesis' ranking.
ОтветитьI think they really gotta add some more usefull things to get from espionage. Perhaps assasinating leaders, taking down starbase weapon systems temporarily, causing rebellions etc…
ОтветитьWhy?
ОтветитьI'm currently playing Ascended Clone Fanatic Purifiers... with Fleet Command.
I'm going to go Cyborg, and Cybernetic for my Robots if I can split up the traits. It's a huge galaxy.
I literally just became The Crisis, and now I randomly have yet another tool for the Ascendancy Heralds of Death 😁😁
Thank you 😇😇
I was actually surprised when I defeated the stellarite devourer. The system where I defeated the devourer was out of my bounds simply because I didn't want expand to that area, so I chose the other option. Lo and behold, when I took a peek at my espionage tab after almost forgetting about my spies, one of the options was to release a stellarite devourer at the heart of the empire I was spying on. Honestly, I still haven't tried it yet though. I was busy growing my economy and out teching other empires while keeping my borders fortified. I was actually looking for a reason to use this against the empire I'm currently spying on. But then sometime ago, this empire I was spying on, a spiritualist, vassalized a gestalt machine empire. Then, a few years after that, this gestalt machine empire swore secret fealty to me, probably because I synth ascended, so I 'supported their bid for independence', so to speak. And just now, this machine empire has rebelled against this spiritualist empire I'm currently spying on. So now, I have a reason to release the devourer egg sac to their home system.
ОтветитьThis will be very useful against a certain species of genocidal salamanders
ОтветитьStopping enemy ships by giving them orders to hold in which they think is coming from direct command but its yours spy would be interesting.
ОтветитьHow would they be unable to get a science ship in orbit in 300 odd days?
Ответить<laughs in Alpha Legion>
