I get that you have bills to pay and want to make a living, so I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is you not telling us up front that you only uploaded half the code and that we had to pay the rest.

I spent quite a bit of time following you, writing the code, etc., only to get to the end just to be told I had to pay. That is like telling someone they can watch a four-hour film, and then around the two-hour mark, the film freezes, and a message informs the person that they have to pay. If you had told us, we could decide whether to start or purchase the course. Out of principle for tricking people, people might not buy the course I know I am not because I feel tricked. I suggest that you add a new intro video informing people that only half the code is uploaded and they can pay for the rest after purchasing a membership.

Another thing you could do is still keep the membership going but give people the option of one-off payment on your courses because some people might not want to purchase a membership. You can set your price for each individual course. Amazon does this on some of its products; it offers a one-time payment as well as membership payment, where the item in question is sent to them regularly, e.g., month, three months, etc if a membership option is selected.
