Best X670 Motherboard for Ryzen 7600X, 7700X, 7900X, 7950X | Best X670E Motherboard

7800x3d and ASUS Tuf b670 overkill? Currently Amazon has the b670 motherboard for $270.

I have all the parts except for a damn motherboard. I want my motherboard to support 3 nvme ssd and spdif audio and 128gb of 6200mghz ram. All the options seem to be bs and confusing.

What motherboard would you recommend for a ryzen 7 7700x with a 3080 and I would like to be able to upgrade these in the future so what mother board would be slightly over kill but after some upgrades would be perfect.

the b650 boards give less potential for overclocking, so i am going with the x670e

What’s happens if in the future you use GPU with Pcie gen 5 while also running m.2 pcie5 on a board that only lets you run one of those at that spec ?

What is the best board, ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero and ProArt X670E-CREATOR to work on the 3d max vray program, the processor used is the ryzen 7950x?

Problem is that all the X670 and X670E boards are about the same price. A B650 board might be more valued though for most people. I opted for the X670-E because this is a new platform and I want to make sure it is future proofed for a little while.

next cpu 8950X 3D will be support ONLY X670E.

I'm planning on getting a 4090 with a ryzen x/x3d cpu with the MSI Pro x670-p mobo. I had been waiting but it doesn't look like prices on gpu's are coming down anytime soon so I've finally decided to pull the trigger on a build. This video was exactly what I was looking for. I was almost ready to get the MSI MEG X670E ACE but decided against it after watching this. I don't think I need to buy a more expensive board just bc.

Irony is when the B650 cost more than the x670 boards.

Its really scary shopping for all these boards. The reviews are pretty terrible across the board. Even for the $500 versions which are still somehow not dropping in price months later.

I only just watched this having made my purchase 2 weeks ago (ASUS TUF Gaming plus WiFi) and pleased that you liked it. I went for this because I needed a decent motherboard to go with the 7900 that so impressed me at low power. If you're spending this much, I reckon the lower midrange is best and I don't mind paying an extra 10% for a fuller set of capability (even if I don't need it now), a nice look + I like ASUS boards. Glad you covered it and keep up the good stuff.

Also if the ASRock X670E taichi Carrara does not have duel can you see the newest amd mrotherboard does have duel bios

Im trying to decide on 7950x vs 13900k. (waiting to see 7000 series X3Ds too) but on MBs I thought Id go with something in the $250 range because as you said it doesn't really matter, I don't need to OC an already good CPU to extreme values for 1-3% more performance. However I have to look out for the CL 1220 audio now.

Why u didnt like the aorus elite ax that much ? I ve not seen a single board with that quality, and vrm at that price.Imo the whole point of going x670 is to keep it down the road and i don't see how the vrm of the asus board will hold on compared to the gigabyte board.

All I see is bad reviews on amazon for any of these AM5 boards. Boot issues, Bios issues, ethernet issues, wifi issues, bent pins from factory, no customer support etc.

Thanks for the round-up. I went with the Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Gene. I wanted a mATX board and I didn't mind the high price since I'll keep this board through several generations of future AMD CPUs and it had all the enthusiast features I wanted in a compact form factor, such as USB4 and three M.2 slots. It is a beautifully-engineered board which looks great, too.

I'm using a rog x670e board with a 7700x , 32g of 6400 ram and a 3060 venture 3 oc and am getting 150 fps with wow on ultra settings

I just want to play Arma 3 at 4k with full graphics at a smooth continuous 60fps. That's all I want.

Have you tried installing Win 10 onto a gigabyte board? It seems to lack the driver necessary for the NVME M.2 drive and their website doesn’t have a driver for it either.
