McAfee vs Avast review | Best antivirus for PC

The guy that build my PC recommended avast and I have been trusting his advice for some some years now.

I always go to Staples to get my McAfee...they have great sales that cover more than on computer, you just have to watch for their sales. My last one covers 10 computers (didn't have that many but the price was the best) and I think it was less than $30.00.

none of them are free period....if so you have to put your card info .

Does anyone know how to take certain devices off of my network that are accounted for on Avast? I have certain devices connected to my network that avast has notified my of yet I don't know how to remove them. Any help?

I've been using Avast Free on a laptop for years. I recently purchased a new laptop which came with McAfee 30-day trial installed. I am going to "upgrade" the antivirus on the new laptop. Have you ever done a comparison between Bitdefender and Avast One? I've scoured the videos you have posted and don't see one. I love your reviews! Keep up the good work.

Okay if you have multiple devices and avast is free wouldn't you be able to download it on each of the devices for free?

I'm kicking away Mcafee once the current subscription ends. Its a horrible product! They are also extremely intrusive in trying to keep your subscription; daily emails and notifications to tell you come back or you are doomed by viruses. Here is my feedback:
1- Too early renewal without notification
2- Too high price
3- extremely bad interface
4- you cannot find what you look for in the application such as firewall logs
5- bad support: at the moment I'm open on chat with them and the window says 1min but I'm already waiting 20. My only button available to click while waiting is "end chat", no send email or keep us a message option. In the past a support agent answered my question: I do not know its not my scope, you have to call by phone. And when you incure international calls to call them, you get tough time reaching the agent and a lot of time (on internation call charges) wasted.
6- not that good protection as it defaults on many threats
7- Heavy resouce usage
8- rude company in general that is only after your subscription (apparantly including this video promotion)

McAfee charged me $350 AUD for a 2 year auto subscription. Almost double the price from previous year and only gave me 1 days notice. Customer Service is literally non existent if your not living in America.

Avast has really fallen. It seems every time I turn on my PC, they're spamming me shit to sell that I don't want. Awful organization if that's how they want the world to look.. a place where we waste time on pointless crap.

They both suck

Two things to watch out for: 1) Fraudulent charges even after you cancel your account. 2) Loss of many gigabytes of data from your hard drive; uploaded and disappeared automatically and irretrievably. Avast appears to be a criminal enterprise.

In my opinion one never get Macafee security there are far better choices as like avast & Bitdefender.

McAfee is correctly pronounced Mc-Afee as in Mick-Afee. Notice it is spelled McAfee not MacAfee.

The Best antivirus is Mawarebytes, for being good light and objective, a very high ninel of general protection and a low price compared to the competition.

What if put a virus in this video to test your antivirus?

Can you explain the Journal Scan feature of Trend Micro. When you run a full scan it does not scan all the files within 24 hrs time frame. Even after 24 hrs it is not scanning all files. I did turned off all the schedule scan options let's see if that works or not. Maybe you can help us by guiding the exact settings to which Trend Micro users can run a full scan after 24 hrs. Also review the Trend Micro in terms of Security. It blocks the threats when executed to the system.

Avast has been my go to driver for business, can't seem to go wrong with it.
