I believe language classes are useful but interaction is better im from the us I took spanish but remember barley anything i dont remember sentance structure.

I live in Belgium and we also have to learn French in school ive been learning for 5 years for 4 hours a week i feel like even though i can talk simple conversations the school system of learnig a language are not good so im happy to see someone proves the system wrong ❤

Your journey to learning French is quite inspiring for me. I learned English in my country for 15years, too. But recently I realized that self directed study can make more motivated path to intermediate level of language. So happy to watch your improvement and it is giving me more courage to be on my journey to English :D Thank you for sharing.

Ok, so I'd like to interject a little something. He learned in 30 days. However, the 15 years of French prior did reinforce numerous things, and he was therefore not a complete beginner. The A1 level was a bit of a blow, but that was because he hadn't cracked open a book since studying. All that he learned in all those years would come back over time.
Mine was the same. 38 years after leaving school, I took up French, and even though I didn't know even basic conversations in French, the 4 years of study gave me a foundation to build on. So it wasn't a complete waste of time. Just my thoughts.

well the perks of being born in a country that is small and u wont even need it anywhere else, is that we have "ch" in our alphabet. So pronouncing it for me is no problem lol

I remember I learnt German in one month, it was one hell if a month but I managed to achieve B1 in 31 day 8-12 hours a day.
