Last winter, my favorite thing was when guys would say “They will only hit the Ned.” And I come in behind them with a big spinnerbait and hit a pig!

What scent do you find most productive down south? I'm trying to learn how to fish and recently jumped into a Bonafide to see how well I can work Lay Lake 30 mins down the road. So far, I'm not doing too well.

How important would You say electronics are for kayakers? (particularly in the winter, but in general too.) I fish from Kayak 100% and the times I've caught fish were sunny days- all the way against the bank. I've not had luck deeper. I heard someone say- you just won't find fish in the winter time without it. Wondering about your experienced advice. Thanks!

In the winter we have ice my friend. I had great luck with spoons but only in the spring and I was northern pike fishing.

Wife just said to me , it's amazing how much knowledge he has , it's crazy ..

Hey Chad how do you transport your rods without damaging them?

100% with you on that spinnerbait. The only thing I would add is be in tune with that blade.  When letting it fall or swing down as you said watch that rod tip, its gonna be pulsing if it stops pulsing and its still moving you better set the hook. Also on the retrieve know what the blade is doing. When you no longer feel the blade thumping a fish just ate it. I think a lot of people miss fish on sb because they're not paying attention to how that blade feels.
