Where would u send it in to get checkered ?
Ответитьget an education, before you waste peoples' time......
ОтветитьIf you buy a 1911 with most of these upgrades at $600 to a $1000 and spend the rest of your money on training and ammunition you will become much better at shooting a handgun.
ОтветитьI've never had a problem with the grip safety nit engaging on my RockIsland
ОтветитьI know this is a 4 year old video, but what are your thoughts on the Rock Island 1911 efs .45 acp with the 5" barrel with the grey Cerakote and G10 grips? Pretty much a carbon copy of your Wilson Combat in this video.
ОтветитьMy favorite part of the video is closed captions thinks hitting the targets and reloading is [music]
ОтветитьWhat about a stiffer thumb safety? Should they be locked up pretty stiff?
ОтветитьHitler,Pol Pot and Mao are sitting in Hell with boners thinking about the sinister level of googles censorship
ОтветитьHow do you suggest the grip safety’s for south paw shooters then?
ОтветитьI didn't realize until today that you were so close to home, pretty cool to see, you got a new subscriber today
ОтветитьNew drinking game, take a drink every time he says Wilson combat😂
ОтветитьOk... How much do you want for some training? I will litterally fly out to wherever to get some training from you.
ОтветитьI have a Springfield Armory 1911 Milspec. I put an adjustable rear sight, smooth walnut grips, a silicone recoil buffer, steel guide rod and a parkerized match grade barrel bushing on it. I only swapped out the barrel bushing because I did not like the bright steel one. It was a fantastic shooter out of the box but the addition of the adjustable leaf and guide rod did tighten up the groups a bit.
ОтветитьThanks for this! Going to upgrade the grips and sights on my 1911 soon!
ОтветитьI usually fast forward commercials. I own RIA .45 a1 FS , Nice Wilson Combat Video.
ОтветитьYou’re great with a pistol dude
ОтветитьRIA is good enough for me 👍break into my house and see how accurate it is 😂
ОтветитьAftac extracter, ISMI recoils spring. Add those to the list. The TRPIs my duty weapon. Any extractor issues go away with the self adjusting extractor. That ISMI recoil spring is by far the best. Great review
ОтветитьYou can add a break to your 1911 45 or 9 mm. You can get it off of Amazon
Ответитьmy ria 1911 shot significantly better than the kimber that we were comparing to. plus your ria didn't have the skeletonized trigger/hammer or adjustable sight. might wanna compare a different ria to the Wilson. 500 compared to 1k or so.
Ответитьmy upgrade would be to go from a 1911A1 to a 1911A2. mine is in 10mm with 16 round mags.
ОтветитьI use a gold dot front sight.
ОтветитьOff subject question: wondering what ear protection you suggest?
ОтветитьHe is such a wicked shot!
ОтветитьThe best front sight I put on my Wilson Combat was a gold bead. It shows up really well. Fiber optics work well, but they do degrade over time.
ОтветитьFor the price of the Wilson Combat, why DOESN'T it have ambi everything and be tapped for a reflex sight and come stock with night sights?
ОтветитьSo you got a 1911 from Wilson Combat. . . . an extremely impressive 1911 . . . . . and you got it chambered in 9mm ? That's like buying a Barrett Semi auto 50cal and having it chambered in .223
ОтветитьI'm sure that stock Ass rock shoots the same if not better then that over priced ass fake 1911 you call A wilson combat!
ОтветитьJust fired my new 80 year old CMP Service Grade for the first time last week. The GI sights are awful and I have discovered hammer bite to actually exist.
ОтветитьSpringfield Armory gripes are wood Cocoa Bolo and your hsnd don't slide around.
ОтветитьIt's called a memory bump on the gripe safety. Please pronounce it correctly
ОтветитьYou need texturing “if you live in Portland, where it rains every day out of the year except three”.
To be clear, you’re still referring to a 1911 correct? I was led to believe that Portlanders only carried ping pong paddle and tickle feathers.
I bought a Girsan MC P35 (Hi Power clone) and a BUL Armory 1911 Commander over the course of this year. I don't care for the girsan front sight, at all. The BUL has great features, with the full beavertail, tall grip safety, front and back checkering and G10 grips. The only thing I really don't care for are the all-black sights. So I just ordered a sight pusher on Amazon, tritium sights for the Girsan from Brownells, and a fiber optic front sight for the Commander from the BUL website. And I ordered a Wilson Combat magwell for the Commander. I think these changes will really make a difference with these pistols. The Commander, especially, is a great pistol for only $850, with all the features of a more expensive 1911 and an awesome trigger. I wasn't even in the market for another 1911, until I dry-fired it a couple times.
ОтветитьIf you want to do this work yourself, keep in mind the grip safety, Ambi-thumb safety, mainspring housing with mag well, and the new trigger may all require fitting (read: removing metal) to function correctly. It's not complicated but does require the right tools and research.
I recommend a trigger job as the first upgrade to a 1911 - they sell jigs and there are tons of videos on how to clean up your sear and trigger to get a perfectly clean break.... not to mention you'll learn how this gun works, and you'll be able to do all of the other mentioned work yourself.
I carry a 1911 every day - great video!
When you turn the gun around to the camera I naturally slid to the right I was like whoa but I'm not one of those people, Mr. hey don't point 👉 that gun at me lol nice video tho.
ОтветитьWhen I have oversimplified the difference between a cheap 1911 and an expensive 1911 to friends, I tell them if it’s fit front checkering, it’s expensive.
ОтветитьCabot makes the best 1911, Wilsons are pussy guns
Ответитьno love for the compensator?
ОтветитьCould you please add a link to the extended magazine release button. I can't find that particular one.. thanks in advance
ОтветитьEvery time he shoot so fast and so accurate it makes me jealous and mad like bruh 😤😂
ОтветитьOne is a $375-$400 GI style 1911, the other is a $3500-$4000 1911. There are much bigger differences between the two other than just a few parts. One is mass-produced in the Philippines in very high volume with a rough fit and finish and spotty QC. The other is hand built just a few at a time by master gunsmiths with hand fitted parts and better materials. If you go with a GI type of 1911 like a Springfield Mil Spec or a Colt M1991a1, just know that if you want to add a beavertail to it, you will also need a jig and a file to grind down the rear frame tangs of your gun, or it will not fit. Also, most GI front sights are pinned/staked in which will also likely require a gunsmith to remove/reinstall. I’ve done all the aforementioned and it’s a bit of a pain in the @$$ if you don’t know what you’re getting into. If you’re like me and you like to ride the thumb safety, and you also happen to be right handed. I highly recommend the WC large pad competition thumb safety, you can grind them down to a comfortable and ergonomic shape that fits your thumb nicely and gives you a vey high grip on the gun to aid in accuracy and speed of follow-up shots.
ОтветитьI couldn’t help but notice the difference in fitment of slide to frame between the Rock Island and the Wilson Combat when you were showing the rear sights…
ОтветитьBought a budget Tisas Duty BR which comes with everything here and a picatinny rail and I paid $429 for it! Not a bad price for what you get
ОтветитьDemonetized! Proof of how anti-American these leftists are! They only employ girlie men who are only happy if true Americans are not able to exercise their 2nd Amendment.
Ответить😊😉🙃🙂😂
ОтветитьI'm new to the 1911 platform and honestly I like the way a 1911 handles over the striker fires. Plus I like the range of options for aftermarket parts
Ответитьi realize this is an older video but if you happen to be reading comments would love your recommendation for my first 1911 $1000-1500 range use. thanks great video
ОтветитьMake sure u get a .45 not a 9mm
ОтветитьI like the truglo fiber optic/tritium combination. I use them on my EDC pistol. They are great for aging eyes and truly the best of both worlds.
Thanks for your videos. Good information.
thank you for your content
