Touched me right where I am. Now I’ve got some thinking to do 🙂
ОтветитьI needed to hear this because I felt I was at my end.
ОтветитьMy personal experience is Do it and Do it is best motivation because when i just go for a walk without thinking it's become my habit to daily 1 hour walk when we do something anyway opens the new doors automatically. Do it if you fail do it again with better way
ОтветитьMy daughter is loving U of A in Tucson. Weather is lovely. 😊 Love you Mel, thank you!!
ОтветитьI downloaded this and I think it's an amazing workbook and an amazing guide. But for me this time around I went through it and I pretty much put non-applicable and almost every look back month because I didn't have anything to look back to. So does that mean I'm just done like I have no drive I have no motivation am I just over life????
ОтветитьThank you so much ❤️ 🙏
ОтветитьThat college lost out on Oakley! He seems to be a brilliant person from your videos and no doubt he'll do even better somewhere else. I'm sorry about the disappointment though, sending hugs! I managed to bounce back from a similar rejection, went to another great place and used my disappointment as motivation to get in at the next level, later on.
ОтветитьMel if I were a NIKE executive I would ask you to sponsor my brand. I Loved today’s episode.
ОтветитьI got laid off 10 days before Christmas and I’m struggling to stay motivated to apply for jobs. I keep getting the “it’s not a good match” emails.
ОтветитьI thought it was another perfect family success story...Thank you for showing us your personal setbacks. We went through the same disappointment applying for school.
ОтветитьThank you Mel for sending the love, the high-five and the gentle kick up the arse
You are my go to guru ❤
Knowing your why Work for healthy people. For neurodivergent persons it doesn't Work. I have adhd and have an enourmous executive disfunction although i know my why. But i Love your Videos and your content.❤
ОтветитьOne foot in front of the other... Disappointed or not-
ОтветитьSo sorry to hear about Oakley. The only mark against Oakley is being white and a male. Welcome to our current real world.
ОтветитьIt is so lame. She doesn’t get the point until the entire video is just few seconds to finish
ОтветитьMel, you rock. Even though it was msg for everyone, thanks. Made me feel special!
ОтветитьPS… 🌟 Mel, you earned four stars for painting such a vivid picture of satisfaction. Cleaning up and creating that feng shui vibe brings serious joy, especially with the incense— SIGH Feeling in control, peaceful, until you sit down and face the chaos of tasks.
Why's is it a struggle? Not the doing, but the time and energy it takes. Trying to build a system, it's a journey. Thanks a ton for the inspiration. Love ya! Fantastic episode, and now onto making 2024 the best year—let's go! 🚀
Fail at full speed! That made me laugh out loud and remember band. Our middle school director would tell us to play loud. If you’re going to make a mistake, make it a loud one! Now doesn’t that just give you permission to try and by God, do your best the First time?!
ОтветитьHey there! Oakley for the win! 🏆 The Oakley story hit home, resonating so deeply. Your narration brought out the essence of his journey and how it pushed him to transform into the person he aspired to be. In my late 30s, I've been on a similar path, chasing evolving dreams. It takes time, right?
Personally, navigating those small emotional hiccups and defending the positive vibes is a daily task. Your episode taught me a valuable lesson—being the conductor and narrator of your story. Talking myself into it, realizing I deserve every bit of success, has been a game-changer. It's a journey that often reveals itself in moments of struggle.
Big thanks to Mel and Oakley! Your stories have added a meaningful chapter to my life. 😅😊😂🙏💫👊
This is SO significant and breaks it down to reality. Just do it at whatever % you are at today.
ОтветитьIt took so many years for me to admit that my problem is not giving my all to what i want to become or do. I knew i was not but i never sincere enough to admit it. Here i am at a point tired, burned out, feeling lost and failed on things I've not tried enough to achieve or succeed, giving continuous excuses to quit and procrastinate waiting for the motivation that would never come. The shift happens now. I'd not wait for anything to come or happen. Thank you Mel! ❤
ОтветитьI had a goal until the narcissist ruined it for me. I ended the relationship but can’t get the negative feelings out of my head. I associate my goal to the narcissist , just makes me feel sick thinking about it. I want nothing to do with him and I’m just considering to change my goal. I don’t know how else to go about it.
ОтветитьI love the reminder of the “why”. It sees me through no matter what once I connect with it. It also works in reverse. Why NOT to do something. The why and the “just do it”….winners!
ОтветитьWhat about trying to pass the exam for 2 years and 11 try, and Everytime i motivate my self, but still the same result. Now i am so stress because my work pussh me to pass it as soon as possible. The issue now Everytime i try to motivate myself i remember my last experience and my other 11 times that i took this exam and say what is the difference and sticking in this feeling, so my brain against me. What i do in this way ?
ОтветитьIf you become vegan, your dirt dishes are not greasy anymore and it’s easier to clean them up 😉
ОтветитьThank you so very much Mel. I needed to hear that today ❤
ОтветитьAs I was listening to this, I was motivated to do my Life Admin chores. I just came from a trip and I missed my meds. The symptoms of withdrawal and the travel bag unpacking chore was unmotivating. Today, I realized that I was able to keep doing what I needed to do when I listen to Mel. Thanks, Mel! <3
ОтветитьMel, it is astounding how after 100 days you have chosen to completely ignore the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza here. 😔
ОтветитьYes my husband worked for 30 years at a company that just shut down…so hard to redirect yourself after that long and thinking it was a life job. Now we are using this time to reimagine our lives to where we want to go. Without this scary and horrible situation happening to us we might have never moved, never expanded ourselves….no decisions made yet this just happened Friday but mindset, mindset, mindset
ОтветитьMark 11:24 I tell you , you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours!
ОтветитьThis is a 17 yr old young man!? Wow....that level of self understanding and maturity at that age is amazing. Well done, Mama Mel & Chris. ❤
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьWow. The podcast has been amazing so far this year. I’m so glad it’s just Mel doing the talking. No offence to her previous guests but whilst they for sure know their stuff, they usually don’t come across nearly as inspiring or as articulate as Mel does - these days I skip those episodes. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьI love you, Mel. When you were on TV, I wasn't ready to hear your messages. I wish you were on TV now. You are great!
ОтветитьSo I need a podcast of how you raised your kids and from a women's and mothers view ...that single moms can do on thier own ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI have a message for Oakley. I also didn't get into my top school Notre Dame. I ended up loving my college. I would have hated the weather at Notre Dame.
ОтветитьI also have one applying to college this year and my heart feels so heavy listening to your son's story. It's really hard and we have no control! This was very good to listen to for myself, the one applying to college, and my other 2 kids that have ADHD.
ОтветитьIf he's anything like you Mel... it's their loss. Big time. He will look back one day and this event will make absolute sense. Pulling for you Oakley.
ОтветитьCould you also pleasee post a link that i could access (im from The Netherlands and every site i went to said page not found:((
ОтветитьWhat really got to me is 22 to 25 minutes bc i know this already but i needed to hear it again and it scratched a spot in my brain (idk how else to explain it) to get to work even w no motivation🫶
ОтветитьThank you from Colombia
ОтветитьGreat advice, thank you.
ОтветитьThanks Mel. I absolutely Love ❤️ all your advice. You help me smile.
Ответить@Mel - let’s unpack ‘it takes 12 months’ idea which you have shared in one of your latest podcasts.
Would you be interested in looking into each and every step of the 12 months change???
Cheers!
Love all your Podcasts! By the way, red is your color! I also love the Red color Rain Jacket you had on recently on a rainy morning
ОтветитьMel, do you have any ideas on how to deal with grief? I recently lost my Mom/best friend and also my Dad is gone. It’s a very lonely, empty, sad feeling. I don’t even know how I will move forward. Please help! 💔
ОтветитьWe had the exact same experience last year. So hard. We were so sure she would get in and she didn't. She's at a different school. She's going to try again this year to transfer in, which is an even bigger long shot but she's doing it!
ОтветитьMany years ago, I got rejected from Brandeis. I had a good GPA. I was in many activities.
But I didn't get in.
It changed my life. However, I went in an honorable direction as a writer and a social worker.
Maybe I wasn't meant to get in. And your son will go to a school where he will grow.
We don't always get what we want, we get what we need.
Someday, he will help someone because of this experience!
My best wishes to him!
