Fontself has never worked on Windows. Has that changed?

I'm having issues with the exported OTF file in which the fonts look a little low poly!

Glyphs 3 is better than Fontself, but this was a great commercial for it

do I have to make the font in different weights separately in illustrator or does fontself make different font weights for one once the font is dropped into it?

I have a font that I created in Illustrator long ago but never got around to making it type-able.
Before I buy FontSelf, do the parts of the letters have to be joined? Or can I simply group them and move to the next letter? I ask because parts of my letters have floating elements.

Okay I used to love to play around with fonts but now there's a tool that I can actually use that will make a font that might not be super terrible, I am definitely going to give this a try…

I know I am late to this, but I cannot get my semi-colons to be left and right when I create a font. the shapes I created have a left and a right semi-colon, but how do choose which one is left and which one is right? Thanks

Dear, i edit 01 no. of URDU font through FontCreator but after completion, it show words in 2nd line as haf or 70% show, also WhatsApp status time remove !! Remaining read & write by using this font well, plz guide any solution ?????

Hi Chris! Thank you so much for this tutorial. The problem that I have is that when I try to build a color font I cant make different parts of the glyph/letter to became only one without afecting the color. I have tried with "merge" in Pathfinder but then when I press Create Glyph in Fonself the message is "Too many objects are selected". If I select unify in path finder I loose all the variety of colors. Can you tell me where I am getting wrong? Thank you!

This method of aligning the fonts with guidelines is nice, but at nife media we think that less time is wasted using a consolidated font as a base to do this alignment and have the correct spacing from one letter to another.

An hour of this just to watch you re-create comic-sans, adjacent.

I just got Fontself and I ran into an issue. I want to mae a spray-paint like font for my boss in illustrator,, but but now that I have the lower case, and capitalized letters done Fontself is telling me that the letters have too many points.

Its spray paint. So there are little dots, and stroke marks, and drippings on each letter.

How am I supposed to make artistic fonts if this thing is telling me that I'm limited to how many points Fontself wants me to have??

ive made 6 fonts so far. all my mates handwriting.

i saw this massive poster in bristol once. i was studying graphic design and found myself getting a bit too connected into the snobbery of typefaces. i saw this poster saying '' an over rated quote in a fancy typeface wont create change'' ....something along those lines. I say get ALL your family members to do an a-z A-Z and 0-9 and all other characters and take a good photo and put it into AI. or if youve got a pen tablet, use that for them and use AI to make the font with fontself

The kind of font I like to make is display/techno fonts. I really like futuristic fonts and I'm really having some ideas. It's kind of easier for me to draw techno font concepts as it uses more lines than curves (like the common serif, sans-serif, calligraphy), and I don't like too curvy fonts that much in the beginning.

I made my first fonts in the Geometry Dash level editor yet I won't be able to export it to ttf file because in the first place it's a game. I recreated the last font I made in Geometry Dash, to Fontstruct. I made all the uppercase characters and all the numbers and it was really fun. I still didn't finish the font and then I transferred it to Inkscape and Fontforge.

I'm designing all the glyphs in Inkscape and copy paste those glyphs to Fontforge, then I just set the width and right bearing for each glyph, then either check for the errors or just ignore it, then finally I'll export it to .ttf for testing.

It was really fun and bit of a struggling experience because of some bugs that was actually solvable. Feels good to see a cool looking font then realize that you actually created it.

There's much more to do here than just these above, like the kerning for almost all glyphs and some measurement stuff like using either 1000, 1024 or 2048 pixels.
