How to defeat the active refences? What if the RPG was fired the moment that the first explosion is seen, so that there's debris in the air? Use an IED that throws metal/nails in the air to interfere with detection? Perhaps too difficult to get the timing right. Or a glue/metal mixture that would stick to the "window"? A sticky acid that could etch the window? Or a non-explosive: Rat-trap glue on a steel sheet. Magnets sewn into a blanket. Could anything work?

I believe "Scott Ritter" weapons inspector who says that the tanks are getting hit and enough at a rate that Israel had to take the Merkava 3's out of storage and stop selling them to Morocco. Also, satellite images have shown that at least 88 armored tanks and vehicles were removed from Gaza since the start of the invasion, and that was weeks ago. Hamas has been battling the Merkava's since the 1980s and they customized this rpg just for that tank. They wouldn't be risking their lives every time just for camera shots unless they were doing serious damage or kills. They cant stay for assessment or "Proof" and do close up inspections for obv reasons. They are due more credit.

If the attack aren't effective ,how come IDF admitted that 14 days of fighting,it has lost 10% of it tank totally out of use due to attack and d rest will have to be repaired before being brought back into battle ? Those tanks from heavy explosion in ball like fire according to experts didn't get destroyed but obviously got demobilized and would need repair before working again but d others hit but without explosion were probably put out of service as in totally destroyed and there are very many videos of them online too
