I've had crazy luck lately in minecraft but it can become nightmarishly boring/disapointing to try and purposely go for something you want to find.

Dude I can’t believe I even used to play this game with no optifine. It’s such a simple mod and no one considers it cheating but it makes the experience so much better. Being able to explore caves early game with just one torch in your offhand, being able to zoom in on stuff, your game running better and looking better. Optifine is the goat
