I unapologetically believe this is one of the best games Ive ever played. Ill agree to disagree with people who have different opinions. Ive beaten it 5 times. I replay it every year in the Spring. I love it, and Im unapologetic about it

The game is amazing and the story was good, and one of the only video game stories that made me feel genuine emotion. But whoever is playing in the footage on this video sucks balls

Don’t waste your money on this crap ass, stupid fucking sorry for an excuse piece of shit story of a game!!! This piece of hot garbage ruin everything amazing about the first game!!!

Most overrated game i can think of. Characters are all boring, and the story is full of moronic choices and situations.

1. Abby conveniently running into Joel.

2. Joel standing in the middle of a room of armed strangers, the most vulnerable position possible. Instead of near an exit or at least in a spot with a clear view of everyone in the room.

3. Abby’s crew letting Tommy and Ellie live despite the fact one is Joel’s brother, and the other clearly cares for him and threatened you all.

4. Abby’s group wearing their WLF patches so they can be identified.

5. Maria picking Ellie and Dina, two inexperienced teenagers to travel the country to get Tommy, instead of older more experienced people. Not to mention Ellie is the most emotionally compromised person in Jackson, making Maria’s decision even more idiotic.

6. Ellie just happened to find pictures, including names, of everyone she’s looking for.

7. Mel conveniently hides her belly when Ellie finds her and Owen, and neither of them tell her that Mel is pregnant. Something I think every parent and/or sane person would do.

8. Abby finding the map Ellie conveniently drops that leads her right to her.

Gameplay, graphics, voice acting are all great, but the story and characters are just terrible. It will forever baffle me how this game was praised as much as it has been.

Part 1 is one of my favorite games, I never played 2 as I objected to what they did… I really don’t care that much anymore but haven’t played it still.

At $10 it is so worth it. I’ve honestly not been able to enjoy any other games since playing this. So I am looking forward to playing through again and trying the new mode. The combat is addicting

"Absolute Honesty of this brutal world"? Let me ask you this, how is some 130lb broad gona gain 50lbs of muscle during an apocalyptic famine? Then kick the shit out of cold blooded, killing, men, marauders twice her size like it's nothing? Abby is a garbage character and OG fan gives a flying F*ck about her but we spent, what felt like, more than half the game as her. It feels like some feminist woke bullshit.

I already finished it on PS4 but I can't wait to experience this masterpiece again on PS5. I kinda wish I could forget all about it so I can experience it for the first time again.

I get they wouldn’t fully remake a 3 year old game as they did with the original game but this remaster is really impressive

I dont get calling this a 'meaty package'. It's basically just the main game + a new roguelite mode. If you have no interest in horde mode/roguelite sort of stuff, then there is VERY little here worth buying this for considering you can still play this at 1440p/60fps on PS5 for free. The actual 'remastering' aspect here is generally very weak and I dont understand why more aren't calling this out. If this was basically any other publisher, they would not get away with this. $10 is a reasonable enough upgrade cost, but they're still selling this as a full title outside this option.

It has better texture & lighting with new survival game mode built in it, im definitely picking this game up even tho i hsve the ps4 version..ill jus trade my ps4 version in the ps5 version place lol

For $10 if all it offered was No Return Mode and added commentary to the cutscenes that would be enough. I appreciate that ND is trying to further perfect an already amazing game (not withstanding subjective differences in a controversial plot or storytelling). For $30 i would get this remaster or essentially Directors Cut version.

100% cash grab, although idiot me did by the first last of us remaster but I hadn't played it for awhile so a bit of an excuse. Last of us 2 wasn't released so long ago so if you have the PS4 version already absolutely no point upgrading.

HOW TO PLAY IT NOW

I do honestly feel they missed the opportunity to include a “woke” slider in the settings menu so players can adjust that to how much they feel they can stomach. Kind of similar to a camera sway slider some games have to combat motion sickness. Would be cool if for instance, when you set the slider to 3/10 Ellie is still mad at the bar guy but accepts his apology and sandwich he made her as a peace offering, instead of, at 10/10, giving it to that other guy as a bigot sandwich. And the pregnant chick going on patrol could say “wait, maybe I should have discussed this with my husband seeing as it’s also his child I’m carrying” as opposed to “what does HE have to do with that”. I don’t know, just feel that would have been a nice addition.

this version is not really for those of us who played it on PS4, its for anyone yet to play it and its the pinnacle version of it

GoW Ragnarok added a rouglike mode for free and this is a "remaster" they want you to pay for. This is just greedy. And the campaign, well we all know that we didnt come to play as gargantuar in the last of us 2.

This really looks like dlc. It's weird that they're packaging it as a remaster. Half of this review was covering a roguelike mode and the rest is random stuff you'd see under the "extras" tab in most other games.

I had a hard time first playing. Went in hard like I was somebody and was quickly humbled. lol but know that I know how to play I ❤ it.
