Just being honest... if I was in Rory's shoes, I would turn around and sign a huge deal with LIV and stick the middle finger to the PGA.

Love listening to Brandle, if for nothing else, he has the best vocabulary!

I’m always learning a new word of the day! Today’s word =“ Ire = Anger

use in a scentence, “ at no point did he have his ire raised, by things that were written about him that might not have been accurate “

Thank you professor Brandle ❤

The future of the PGA tour now is like when Jack and Arnie started the PGA tourin '63. Tiger is 47 and Rory 35, the two statesmen going forth.... plus Tiger is pineing for Monahans job... Two international players in Scott and Rory, all important.

Rory and Adam are world golfers. They prefer PIF invest in a global schedule with signature events around the world.

I really don’t get how the WGCs supposedly did not work. I loved them. I think most golfers looked forward to them because all the top pga tour players were there along with the best from tours around the world. I think some pga tour traditionalists people did not like them, but everyone I know loved those events.

Rory and chamblee have somewhat toned their acts down; which is good.

I will say again the pga tour simply needs to stop the blackballing. It does not need to keep selling its assets for a few bucks to anyone including pif. They could just allow LIv players back while reducing the number of required events; and get serious with their broadcast partners about truly improving its tv productions …and imo they would be in a great spot again.

LIv will not go away because of a pif investment or deal. And a pif investment or deal will not help much if the players don’t come back.

But again it’s all for nothing if viewers keep getting 2 minutes of nothing then a commercial break.

Brandel Chamblee was right most of the time, but I don't agree with his opinion about Rory this time. To me, Rory always seems to change his mind when he talks to a new person.

Shocking hypocrisy from Brandel: “Rory is a very reasonable and pragmatic person because he’s willing to change his opinion”….says the “dogmatic”, unwavering, Brandel. WOW.

Let John Henry do his thing as a businessman, and a professional.

Really well spoken Brandel. I think being from Ulster like Rory, a guy learns that not being pragmatic and unable to bend for other people is a recipe for unanimous suffering. People who are intelligent enough to evolve their thoughts are who you want in the negotiation room

Rory as stated “Jay and I are best friends, I’m closer to Jay than any player on tour” Then Chamblee is part of same crowd. Everyone but them sees it. They are the most untrusted, hypocrites and bullies. Using language of hate, Rory “I hate LIV, hate, hate, hate them.” Jay calling them the anti-Christ and blood money. These are NOT the guys to make deals.

The more Rory speaks -- It highlights how clueless and full of his own self importance ---- He hardly plays outside USA unless given huge $$ from gulf states -- didn't even play Irish or Scottish open last year -- he really is just a self centred gobshite

If mid-east weirdos want to burn their money, let them snipe all the filthy casual golfers who don't care about historical traditions. I was a Jon Rahm fan, key word WAS, and never again. Now I'm a Peter Malnati, Wyndham Clark, and Patrick Cantlay fan. Golfers are literally a dime a dozen. The real star is these famous golf courses, which the pga will always have a monopoly on. LIV only gains credibility by PGA constantly giving it to them undeservingly.

I'm amazed Rory has it in him to continue to be loyal and fight for the PGA after he was asked to walk out into traffic, then they ran him over, back up and did skid marks on his forehead.
The "TV ratings have been down"... And BY GAD, Judge E. Smails could dream up more modern approach to delivering golf to the public than these luddites. Broadcast TV? REALLY? Even cable TV? How many teens to 30 year olds do you think watch sports on Broadcast TV? Air every single tournament online and in a fashion that mimics how The Masters does it. Go a step further and allow/promote 3rd party commentators for an audience to choose. If a person wants to hear Ozzyman or Chris Smoove do the Golf commentating. let em do it.

It’s amazing how the PGA Tour have hugely raised their prize money since LIV Golf came on the scene. Also there’s been major changes to how pros get to qualify to play on the PGA Tour.
I believe that if any non major PGA Tour event was played at the same exact time as a LIV Golf tournament, any true golf fan would much rather watch the LIV event!

Name the "protocol procedure" Tiger went through immediately before getting on the Policy Board.
How does the Tour plan to monetize those equity shares they passed out?
What is the collateral for the $930MM from the Private Equity group? "Owned, operated, and licensed by the PGA TOUR, the TPC Network is comprised of 30 premier private, resort and daily fee golf properties designed by some of golf's most elite architects". Going to sell them, or give them away.

As of April 25, 2024 the OWGR will provide rating points to the Clutch Pro Tour in the UK. The CPT will be the feeder for EU/UAE based Challenge Tour and DP World Tour.
And they play 54 hole events.

Since we're all Carnivore Capitalists here.. somebody ask these 8 revenue and capital destroyers what is their business problem with affording LIV golfers with points.
People are under the delusion there is some moral/ethical issues at play here. Like this isn't the same as geopolitics, and it's about power. Power and only power. The money is just some arcane way of keeping track.

This OWGR Board has to stop standing in the way, just because they have soiled their pants when some competition showed up after a 100+ year monopoly. I'm a WWII kid and watched every episode of the NL/AL , ABA/NBA, and AFL/NFL M&As.

You could all make more than a stinkin' $12B with the infinity of ways you could platform real competition, and the massive revenue streams that come from it. BTW, in this current state of affairs $12B isn't marked to market. It's marked to Tinkerbell.

You should all be fired, and would be if you ran an actual Corporation instead of one that has the screenplay of a Disney cartoon.

Hey folks here are the 2-bit schmucks who are blocking the future of golf...!!!!!! The Board of the OWGR

This shit is killing golf. Why is this so hard? Create two LIV teams that allow a rotating 8 PGA players to play some LIV events and allow tournaments to offer sponsor exemptions to several LIV players so the fields on both sides improve and we can put and end to this nonsense it's not that hard
