These are beautiful guitars but they are priced up there close to Custom shop prices... Would be intresting to compare a custom shop close to the same price with these & hear how they compare (;

The gauge of the string is the same as the radius of the fretboard, 9 and a half with 9’stgauge

I use 10s on everything. Bought them from the beginning because they said "light" not knowing there was "extra light." No other reason. Tried 9s later on but I over-bend and feel weird to me. I wish i could get used to them.

It’s not the 9’s, it’s the noiseless pickups.

As the camera backs away. They look like a Strat and Tele .. no clear definition. White or plain black for me. Must be the ony who thinks this.

I just put 10s on my guitar yesterday and it feels and sounds so much better now... I am just learning but I really like the 10's better.

9’s on Fender scale, 10’s on Gibson scale.

Slinky top, heavy bottom strings (10-52), otherwise it feel weak under the fingers. Standard tuning btw.

Played 8 Guage for a little but they kept braking so went back to 9. and never looked back I 🤔

Beautiful guitars, I’m not sure it’s about the 9 gauge strings, might be more about the noiseless.
I have a deluxe strat from 2010. Also beautiful, attention to detail, very similar appointments, feels great, and has N3 pick ups.
They are essentially weak humbuckers, stacked on top of one another, wound in opposite directions, made to sound as good as they can, and they do a decent job. Not going to sound as good as a regular single coil in a guitar that price & that’s the trade off, because having no strat hum is a boost.

I use gauge 11 flat wounds on both my strat and tele

I put 10s on my Fenders and 9s on my humbucker high gain style guitars. 9s are just a bit easier for lead and shred stuff. My favorite setup is a strat in Eb with 10s.

Not a big fan of Strats with figured top - at least not the one with a front route hence a pickguard but Fender does not do strat body shape guitars with back pickup route - but that Telecaster is probably one of the most beautiful I have ever saw !

I put 9-46 on my 25.5 scale guitars. I do think that fender’s noiseless Strat/tele pickups are kind of anemic and could see that pairing being bad. I like the ultra models but would 100% swap the pups first.

I've got a 2013 Fender Select strat. Flame maple top, SSH, compound radius rosewood fretboard, inlaid into a maple neck, rounded edges, heel carve, locking tuners, big 70's style headstock. I bought in new, off the rack at the GC in Manhattan in 2013. Out the door for $1950 us. It's my #1 now. I also felt that the .09 was a little thin sounding on the Strat so I use 9's but I swap the 9 for a .10. On the E. Fattens up the sound a lot, especially on double stops.

Those are some gorgeous Fenders, especially the Strat.

"Novice guitar players find the 9s slinkier"....ohnooo we don't.... i've been a strat (and Les Paul) player for 55 years (yep) and i have ALWAYS prefered 9s...Yes....and that will stay.....(no i won't say till i die....but probably be true)....cheers....and that nice prs se McCarty594 i recently bought (from ANDERTONS..!!!) playes Beautifully with 9s...!!!!...so there you have it...and yes...those Strats are very nice...but my strat cupboard is full......

9s all day long on my Tele. I do feel there is a slight sound change, but it way easier to play. I find the slight tone change nice actually. Sounds kinda raw.

I sort of agree with Pete, but he'd still dislike my preferred string gauge: 9.5
