This hack was done by Ethereum foundation Devs. inside job.
ОтветитьWow this was absolutely fascinating! Thank you for such a great video!
ОтветитьUnder-appreciated video.
Ответить7 Billion 👀dollars
Ответитьremember that it was the smart contract got hacked, not the coin itself.ETC is like btc with smart contracts...Fixed monetary supply, immutable unstoppable ,decentralized ....
Ответитьo fato de que a NET apareceu nessa história é simplesmente hilário
ОтветитьThe DAO that can be hacked is not the eternal DAO
ОтветитьI’ve read the story on Ethereum Classic’s website and it has some more information and context on the story. I think I’m gonna side with ETC on this one
ОтветитьAmazing narration ❤
Ответитьamazing
Ответитьwhy did I just get it now suggested to watch! subbing not to miss other videos :)
ОтветитьVery high quality content, subbed.
ОтветитьFantastic work. ✌️
ОтветитьMore videos like this. Great content.
ОтветитьGreat video, can't wait to raid your channel for more! This is honestly so grey. I believe we shouldn't alter the transaction history, and let us ride the evolution wave of this new tech out. However, if I had money in The DAO, I don't believe I can say the same!
ОтветитьSo beautifully explained....thanks♥️🥰
ОтветитьWzrds first
ОтветитьGoddamn if this thing wasn't hacked I wouldn't be working anymore. Was smart, but dumb enough to invest in this and then largely forgot about ETH for a few years.
ОтветитьA bug on the line 666, can't make this stuff up.
Ответить"The hacker" was never caught, huh.
Inside job.
Came here due to the impending luna fork! 😂
ОтветитьSame thing is happening with Luna
Ответить"They believe that things that happen on the blockchain are immutable and should never be tampered with regardless of the situation".
The fact that it CAN be "tampered with" means it WILL BE tampered with at some point in time. It just takes the correct stimulus for it to occur. All the ETC holdouts would sing a different tune if some arrangement (using a complicated set of proxies, sub-organizations, and military might) managed to bilk them out of not only their ETH, but ALL of their possessions, including real estate and offspring. (That's an extreme example to make a point).
Then suddenly they'd be screaming that the "blockchain" code is NOT law if it results in action that is contrary to any tort law.
I have to agree with the 'Hacker' on this one because the entire moral foundation of Cryptocurrency was to avoid the shady practices of the bank and this seems just as bad. Obviously it's easy to justify in a situation like this, but what if a majority of people lose tokens to a minority of tokens legitimately (bad investments, gambling, just a fluke, etc) and the majority just decide to undo it?
Ответитьthis channal deserve 1M subs right now
ОтветитьBoth sides of this should be absolutely horrifying to anyone with a bit of common sense. On one side, you have a group who essentially voted to re-write the economy because they fucked up & had enough money to buy the vote; on the other hand, you have a group that says you don't deserve to have any protections because no rules were technically broken. This person is only being called a 'hacker' because they weren't the person in charge of the DAO. Anyone could realistically make that bug a *feature*, steal all the money in the pool, and there'd be nothing you could do about it because they followed the rules & you don't have enough money to override the transaction.
If you can watch this and still somehow thing crypto is a good investment, I honestly question your judgement.
Bro you just made a film! This was amazing, can't praise you enough!!
Ответитьamazing video!!!
ОтветитьA beautiful presentation, audio, visuals, and content are all excellent. Deserves millions of views
ОтветитьGreat documentary! Very thrilling. This deserves more views 🙌
Ответитьvery nice video!!
ОтветитьThe facts are correct. The conclusion that Ethereum was right and Ethereum Classic was wrong is incorrect. Ethereum, especially when it migrates to POS, is a subjectively run system, just like the banking system, or a cloud service. Ethereum Classic is a real, objectively run, secure, and immutable blockchain.
Ответитьone of the best videos I have ever seen
Ответитьincredible video
Ответитьgreat quality man, underrated channel, best of luck for growth.
ОтветитьWhy do I feel like it was someone from the dao community? 🐀👋🏽
ОтветитьAnyone ever figure out who "the attacker" was?
ОтветитьNot gonna lie bro , i watched the whole video didnt even scroll into the comments or check how much longer is left for the video to end; as soon as it ended I checked how many views and subs it had and i was surprised by the hidden talent that you have, you deserve 5M OnGod
ОтветитьIncredible storytelling. Incredible animations. I literally cannot believe you only have 5.5k subs. You deserve a lot more!
ОтветитьBest explanation ever we can get for this hats off
ОтветитьGreat vid, super interesting. I'm going to get into all of this I think. Thanks !
Ответитьthis was amazing, great work man you earned yourself a sub.
ОтветитьHey man. First video I seen. You got my sub now. One thing, I came here because my friend told me the attacker is a thief.
He is not a thief. He defended his position logically. The fork will be come back to destroy ethererum.
Long live ethereum classic!
fire video man. would you mind if i use some of your animations in my own video? also i was wondering how you made the animations (code scrolling in the beginning). thanks bro
ОтветитьGreat video, should of had Ethereum in the title because when I was searching for this explanation video, it was in the bottom.
ОтветитьWhere did the hacked millions go? Do we Know? If not, why not? Where does the pen-testing trail lead?
ОтветитьDo you think the hacker was an inside developer?
ОтветитьWoah 🤯
