Going to a drag race and not using hearing protection, just not right.

That tesla has two more runs in it before it catches on fire like the piece of shit it is. That shelby will run all day. Not all that glitters is gold....

If wooosh is the future of drag racing, I am out. I need engine noise. and in the end the woooosh may win, but I will always be there as long as I live to provide an great audible experience. Really hope the electric thing goes the way of the pet rock. It is NOT anymore environmentally friendly.

This video really shows you how fast a tuned GT500 really is. We know Plaids are fast, there's tons of videos to prove it. I don't know much about the GT500's build but considering that the STOCK quarter mile time is 11.2 and due to their age and the small amount I can observe in this video, it seems like the GT500 is just in the first phase of a much faster build with some more refinement and upgrades. I'm NOT making this comment as part of the perpetual braindead EV vs ICE online tantrum the car community has fallen into, I'm here to say that we should applaud Ford for the fabulous car/platform they've put together. And of course the driver that was able to extract it on the strip!

I believe the Stang is actually quicker and faster but its being held back by 2 wheel drive.
I believe the tesla is quicker because it has the advantage of instant 4 wheel traction.

Evidently you are impressed with races 1/4 mile long. Le Mans is the Manufactures race. Cars like the Audi R8 drive up to 3000 miles within 24 hours and not in a straight line but through a difficult twisting course. The Plaid or Any EV will drag in a differnt way.. Slow; it would have a difficult time outpacing a Prius; a Prius isn't fast.

After this race, the Shelby was put back on its trailer and went home for more mechanical tweaking. The Tesla drove home and was instantly ready to take a family of seven on a road trip.

A family car beat a Shelby Mustang.

Easy when the car does everything for you. All you have to do is keep the wheel straight, which is pretty easy too with all the nanny systems backing you up. Fast but no driving skill necessary.

I'm curious to know how many charging cycles before you have to change out the batteries and the cost for new one's. What is done with the old cell's.

One is (maybe) exciting and (maybe) visceral for the driver. The other is exciting and visceral for the driver and fans. Have an event with with nothing but quiet traction-controlled Teslas and noone will show up after the novelty quickly wears off.
