Gotta try this with my Xiaomi 12 Pro - maybe I can even break the 18 minute barrier in case I'm in a REAL hurry. Using as little power during charging is always a good idea, as using power will heat up your phone even more since it will heat up during charging too. Heating up will make the charging speed controller also decide to throttle the charging speed so you dont exceed a specific threshold.
So doing this will will not only lower your power usage but will even speed up your charging. This is probably incremental when you are charging rather slow where phones stay cool anyway (anything below 50W should always be rather cool unless its wireless maybe). But if you are in the really fast terretories this might save you a minute. I'm definitely gonna investigate this. Thanks for the idea.

I have a meter that measures the amps and this definitely did not work. The meter stayed exactly the same. THIS WILL NOT MAKE YOUR PHONE CHARGE FASTER.

Running airplane mode while charging defies the whole purpose of having a phone. I am not sure how much difference it'll make in charging speed. But not having the ability to receive a call/message is much more important than having a faster charging.

I tried this but not even a single minute less period of charging achieved. 👎🏻

Ive been doing this for the last 3 or 4 years at least! I will turn off everything then make the brightness on the lowest possible and turn on Low battery mode.. and obviously i will charge my phone with the fastest plug in the house!

Your device won't be automatically backing itself up every day while it's plugged in this way.

What?? Wait a minute, instead charge it normally and sleep tight. Forget about those useless automations. In fact by turning off those notifications, you may end up missing out on some important calls and notifications.
