Beachgoer killed by police car

An Horry County Police Dept. officer is on administrative leave after a beachgoer was struck and killed by a patrol vehicle in the Myrtle Beach area Thursday afternoon, according to a statement from Mikayla Moskov, the Director of Public Information.

The incident happened at the Nash Street beach access near Springmaid Pier just after 1 p.m.
