I wish he had mentioned what specs where on this mac mini! Would have been quite important whether it was just a base model or whether he had some upgrades on it.
ОтветитьYour mixes sound pretty fat.
ОтветитьThank you for the video. Is noise level an issue with this machine?
ОтветитьIs Mac mini m2 16/256gb is Good for music production
ОтветитьHow much RAM? 8/16/32? Thx!
ОтветитьHow much RAM are you working with?
ОтветитьHey André, nice video!
I love the first track!!! Do you have the ID for me?
Big up
How much RAM is on this M2 Mini? I didn't hear you say that.
ОтветитьDude that’s noise that’s NOT music… good by.
ОтветитьHow does the memory pressure look like when playing those tracks with virtual instruments? Is 16 GB RAM enough?
ОтветитьHow many gigs of ram ?
ОтветитьAwesome my MacBook Pro has been crashing using logic recently and I was wondering if it would of been a serious downgrade
ОтветитьMy current setup consisting of an iMac late 2013 and a Macbook Air late 2017 are so far OK, but that’s it. For a (loooong) while I’ve been looking for upgrades at affordable prices. You just answered all my questions in under 5 minutes. Thank you so much.😊
ОтветитьHi. Thank you very much for this amazing and very informative video. I have one question. Can you please tell me did you have a chance to test this M Mac Mini desktop with any Acustica Audio-s plugins (Nebula, or they're Acqua plugins) , witch are notorious for having high CPU usage? Or some plugins with new new technology AI capturing plugins, with algorithms to create realistic captures of analog hardware units. NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) and Proteus plugin. This plugins are designed for capturing profiles of guitar amps and pedals, but are unbeatable for any analog hardware emulations that needs nonlinear behavior like saturation, distortion, compression. This plugins are also pretty CPU demanding. Can this Mac Mini-s work with solid amount of tracks, and large number of this plugins on them?
Sorry on my bad English.
Are you using the Focusrite clarett with usb C?? Great video man, thanks!
Ответитьthank you very much for this review, please, what would you recommend for music composition with a lot of orchestral VST instruments in Logic pro? I'm currently working on my Imac pro 2016
ОтветитьYour mix is excellent.
ОтветитьPls, what is the disk and ram size? Thank you!!
ОтветитьLogic Pro x was not able to complete the download check your internet connection faild
Ответитьmac mini n2 chip i have logic pro x 10.5 and 10.6 but sound library is not downloading this notification comes
ОтветитьWhich version of Logic Pro X should I use for the Mac Mini N2 chip?
Ответитьlogic whith Rosetta?
ОтветитьI'm currently using a fully maxed out 2012 27 imac with 500gb SSD and 32gb ram and it's getting a bit old. Would a mac mini m2 pro and my choice of display be a worthy upgrade? I'm not into any graphics intensive video editing but have a home based project studio running Logic, Protools and a stack load of third party plug ins. Is the 512gb SSD and 16gb RAM of the Mac Mini m2 Pro enough for a machine to be used solely for music production that's future proofed for at least a few years? Your advice is much appreciated and keep up the great work.
ОтветитьIs this the 16gb of RAM or unified memory model?
ОтветитьNice video and nice mix on the track - nice and clear on the iPhone speakers. Well done
ОтветитьThanks for the great review. How was the temperature? Did the fans start up when it was pushed?
ОтветитьThanks! So informative! Bravo!
Ответитьid love for you to stress test with virtual instruments playing midi tracks in Kontakt etc. Im curious how many orchestral intrument tracks this machine will do with its limited ram
ОтветитьHey, thanks for your video. Im french so I didn't understand everything
I have the same mac mini m2 pro. But, i can only do 42 tracks that i multiple with the same strings, with buffer 1080 buffer size on 48000 khz.
Is it normal? I only used the extern VST analog lab for my test ( but multiply in 42 tracks as i said)
Is this with 8GB of RAM or 16?
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьThanks Andre. This was most useful
ОтветитьThanks. This is such an amazing video! Its Super helpful and informative to see performance in this real DAW mixing sessions.
ОтветитьGreat video... Mixes sound so good. Sorry if i missed it but what audio interface were you using?
ОтветитьWow, I was saving up because I thought I'd need a Mac Studio, but you've shown me that the Mini would be more than adequate for my type of music. Awesome. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThank you for this demo! I'm getting a new M2 Mac mini to change from my old MBP which I've been doing all my projects from. SUPER!!!
ОтветитьMy man. You had me at 8 instances of Archetype Nolly. I mean all the Neural Stuff is great but they suck the juice outa your machine. I am running an Intel based Makbook Pro and I know how painful it gets loading Neural Stuff let alone a whole bunch of other Plugs for my Mix. Damn impressive.
P.S. - What is the spec of the Mini you running here
Good Vid, Gracias ! Would you please run these tests at 24bit 192k ?
ОтветитьNice mixing! Especially the first project!
ОтветитьHey buddy how are you doing? I’m about to buy a Mac but I’ll go Mac mini I guess, but I’m between: Mac Mini M2, 24gb ram, 512gb storage OR Mac Mini M2 PRO, 16gb ram, 512 storage
They are quite the same price, any advise? Thanks a lot :)
16 or 32 Gb please 😂
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! This is exactly what I was looking for, since I'm upgrading from an intel i9 mbp. I'm in a bit of a niche in my country as a full time Mixing Engineer specializing in LPX since I receive most files in that DAW. Out of curiosity, have you tried mixing in 96khz or 192khz with the M2 Pro? Intrigued with the results and always been fascinated on the idea on the day we get to do that without problems.
ОтветитьWhat operating system are you using? Ventura?
ОтветитьHi André,
This is excellent, thank you. Just out of interest, do you know how well the 12 Core Mac Mini M2 Pro will perform with the Benchmark test? Still going round in circles with Mac Mini M2 vs Mac Mini M2 Pro (10 or 12 Core, 16 or 32 RAM) vs Mac Studio. Don't think that I will ever have a session go over 100 tracks but would be keen to hear your thoughts. Thanks again.
Wondering if it’s necessary to upgrade ram to 32Gb. I use a load of UADs spark native plugins, heavy on cpu.
Ответитьgreat video, clear and good tests, you didn’t mention ssd size and ram?
ОтветитьThis is the exact video I needed to watch! I’ve been debating between this and the Mac Studio for music production and I wanted to make sure I could get enough performance without overspending on something I didn’t need. Thank you!
Ответитьdont go and buy it if some of you have the Mac Mini M1,the Mac Mini M1 is an awesome unit
ОтветитьThank you for your great work @ 16 gigs of ram, you've answered a lot of questions
Cheers, Ross
