Hi all, missed a thing! The new Research for Tubes (obvious really!) and the new recipe was Berry Sludge, not stuffed Berry. My bad! Enjoy the TUBES!! :-)

What about gas? Is gas also transfer through tube? Is it possible to make airlock system using it?

How did you zoom all the way out to see your whole map

You probably have to enter a value in the temperature box to prevent a default temperature (seemingly 20C/293k) being used. Or not use god build mode and use an actual resource (ice) which is already below 0C/273K.

I have been calling the transit tubes pneumatic diversity vents (Only portal fans will understand)

You need a wall over which to build the tube crossing for it to work.

I think the ice block was melting because you placed it was debug

In your video (that I am currently watching) "Oxygen Not Included OIL UPGRADE: OXYGEN COOLING! Ep 11 ONI" you mentioned an airflow tile that could let gas go one way. An idea for this is to have a one-block fan (that requires power and is found in the ventilation tab) that you can place and choose the direction of flow. It would be good if for example a room has a lot of oxygen and you want to let it out quickly. Just an idea :)

I assume we'll be able to upgrade the tubes so they can be used in lava later on.

I cannot keep up with the changes. My bases don't seem to get up to the "end game" where the new content is often available. (not a complaint, just an observation)

For the transit tube crossing I noticed you can rotate them.
Maybe the metal ends on them should follow the wall for plumbing and electrical wires.
Rotating the 90 degrees might work.

Regarding the ice statue I assume it is instantly melting because you had it's spawn temperature set to some default which is probably above the melting point(if you set the temperature to -20 or something it shouldn't melt)

Very interested in some performance updates. I was avoiding my base because of the frame rate.

Not to sure about the tubes though. I like stressing my resources with a lot of dupes. It looks like the tubes are better for a small number of dupes.

The reason you can't make the ice sculpture in debug is that in debug everything you build is built at the default 20C. You cannot change that unless you go into the program code. So it instantly melts no matter where you put it.

Biffa do the tubes have to drop the dupes straight down? can they come out the side, or even straight up? things to test. :)

I wonder if the ice blocks keep melting because when you were placing them in they were rather warm.
It will be really fun to see you mess around with all these additions to the game in your play through.

it looks as if the tube wall transit piece has an electrical symbol printed on it. could it be that it needs electricity perhaps? sort to open the door?

On the live stream they should you cannot build the ice block in debug mode. have to be normal gameplay, and the dups will carve it. Btw, does the tube transit block not need power since its got a power symbol on it.

Try using a dup to build the ice cube and not the debug tool to see if it works. (build it in the cold biome).

Isnt the Ice block melting because you are instantly building it in debug mode out of Ice that is too hot to be ice? Each one you built was green in the temperature overlay.
