The only downside for me is the battery endurance. Hope Google will fix this in the Pixel 8 Pro. Really love their phones

I had my pixel 7 pro 2 months ago. Everything thing is smooth and good in this phone But the issue that I have been facing is Heating and Battery Drainage.

While using Camera and recording video within 10 to 15 minutes it starts heating and when you use your Network Cellular Data and do voice call or video chat in what's app or messanger also I'm getting heating issue. Though it has 5000mah battery but the Battery Backup and optimization of battery is not good enough.
Hope and wish the Google team gonna fix this 2 of the main problem on upcoming software updates.

This phone is crap. I'm getting rid of it tomorrow with a smile on my face. The battery is shocking. And I went to go on my cycle app through my HDMI cable out in the shed as my internet connection is not great and guess what, HDMI is not supported as Google want you to buy their charging dock.
Bye, bye Google. Never again.

I have a pixel 7 and I do love it but after getting interested in phone tech kinda wish I spent that extra 300 for the Pro but hey I still have probably the best value phone on the market. Great reviews as always guys

I have the Pixel 7 Pro since day one. One of the most disappointing phones I ever owned. Ton of small bugs and issues which were not addressed to this day! Many features are broken (how hard is it to make smart lock work?!). Will not buy any Pixel soon.

Half of the review is about photos. I'm sorry, is this a camera or a smartphone??

Here are my comments after using the Google Pixel 7 Pro 256GB for 2 months:

1) The display is very greenish even at full brightness. In the system setting, there is no way to adjust for colour temperature and RGB levels. I am not sure if this is a software issue or hardware issue.

2) The sound levels for alarm volume, notifications volume and call volume can only be ramped up/down in 6 fixed levels. Not very flexible...


3) The power button and volumn up/down buttons are at the same side. likely to press wrongly most of the time.

4) The volume up/down button is the centre of the phone body. It is MOSTLY IMPOSSIBLE to place the phone nicely on a gimbal/stabilizer.... I wonder why the product designer team missing this out...

5) Missing lots of basic apps, even the "MUSIC" app is not included. I downloaded a music player app that able to scan my all mp3s but with advertisement. I think this is really ridiculous to happen on google store. Google shall at least provide a free and functioning mp3 player. Other missing apps include COMPASS, HEALTH, SMART CLEANING (free up space)

6) The spotify or mp3 files album cover is no longer displayed fully on the lock screen for this version of Android :((

7) No 50MP raw image from the main camera. The max resolution i get from raw file is only 12MP.

Overall I feel no surprise or even disappointed from upgrading from LG v40 (my 4 year old phone)...
I really hope i can give direct feedback to Google....

They deserve 20 million by the end of 2023. The most honest, technical and decent reviewer. Love their app but it can be more useful if provided enough support.

The part about Battery life is just false. S22 ultra is nowhere near.

how anyone can say this is a good phone is really strange in 2023, mine is charging for 3-4 hours to get full and charge disappears in front of my eyes , its a joke , all the tricks in world are useless without fast charge ability , imo. waste of money and cant return for refund on google store, so sorry i didnt buy on amazon.

It's a nice phone but I think I'll sell it and get the pro max. Overall it's a decent phone, it's the inconsistency that kills it for me. Firstly, getting into the phone at all is hit and miss. Face works fairly well in good lighting but the moment you are far or in bad lighting it just refuses. Fingerpring is more reliable than face but it still has its moments and i haven't even been forced to use pincode as much as this phone honestly. Camera is superb, some of the best dynamic range and sharpness I've ever seen, even in telephoto, but every now and then it refuses to focus (wide, main and tele). About 20% of the time after quick launching the camera app it just force closes and a couple times this meant i missed the moment and the shot was ruined. It's a good phone in isolation/theory but once the going gets tough it really struggles. Waze and camera app at the same time? Lags. Multitasking in hot weather? Lag. and various bugs here and there, visual and funtional. Display really pops, I love it and actually don't mind the slight curve apart from difficulty of finding good screen protectors. Battery is decent and can last me the better day of heavy usage (I consider myself a power user). Would have loved faster wired charging. Speakers slightly disappointing, not much different compared to my 2yo oneplus 8pro, especially because the earpiece isn't that loud so the experience ends up bing mono-like. It's the custom silicon being a bit weaker and the unpolished areas of the OS that makes this a disappointing phone. Yes it's priced VERY competitively here in Aus I got it for 1100 128gb (14pm and 14p are closer to 1800) but i think if you can afford it, try the iphones. Will update this after I've used the 14pm for a few weeks. I do like the call screening feature because I get a lot of calls as part of my work (although just like voicemails, people often close the phone about half the time and I rarely got to use this featrue, hold for me is great! Text to speech is magic, unblur and remove objects i've yet to use.)

flat screen or curve?

I went from the S21+ to the Pixel Pro 7, after being with Samsung since the S3, and I'm loving this thing. There was NO WAY I was about to buy the EXACT same Samsung phone that they've been releasing the past 4 years AGAIN. I needed something different, and wasn't about to downgrade and go to Apple, and Google came through.

Only thing I hate about this phone is the audio is atrocious. Other then that to me it's perfect. Taking my phone photography to a whole new level
