2tb is not enough for us

I installed Pro because I wanted to create mirror volumes in disk manager

Its dumb you cant do it on all additions.

Theres other similar things you can do, but I wanted to do it in the regular disk manager

You make a lot of assumptions on who would need 2 or more TeraBytes of RAM, 2 or more CPUs in their computers, etc. You downplay anyone who wants to or needs to get the most out of the hardware they paid for. Threadrippers from AMD allow people to access 1.5 to 2 TBs of RAM, up to 64 cores/128 threads. Believe it or not there are people who need that kind of processing power with as much RAM as they can get to perform their tasks.

You can use RAM as a drive if you want extra speed, that's one significant use case for 2 TB of RAM.

I use a nice little freeware app to turn Windows update on or off called Wub. Works on Window 11 also.

I always turn off updates and just pick what I want to update. Windows updates AWLAYS causes problems.

Enterprise versions of windows 7 and up are good up till 11 as you need a buisness account to activate windows 11 and get though the setup

I am getting Windows 10 PRO because I need 256gb RAM for video and large image rendering. Times have changed.

I've been using Windows 7 with updated disabled for the last 10 years.
Still works like a dream. Never caught one single virus in all that time.
I know what software I need and install it directly from the manufacturer.
If I buy Windows, I want automatic updates disabled permanently.
If I need a security patch, I'll install it myself.

Every time I I try to use Windows 10, I am screaming at the computer within 5 minutes and finally just have to walk away.
It is just that... bad. The start menu has been screwed up so it is absolutely unusable... everything has been changed and moved around, and there is so much embedded garbage everywhere you're basically drowning in it. Notifications constantly aggravate you and for some reason when launghing an app, the screen with change to a blinding solid white.

Having a built in VM sounds pretty cool. Pro is only $34 right now from the Microsoft store, so I'll definitely go with that :)

I use a few of these Pro tools.
Third party software?
These often cost quite a bit of money, especially if you use more than one Pro feature.
Which basically then defeats the Pro's all in one $199, seeing, you spend more through these third party apps.

Not to mention, these third party apps often use MORE resources than the in the Pro Version already installed ones.
And we could say, that, stability wise, it's probably better from within the Pro version installed tools, than the third party tools.

Interesting video, though I didn't buy my Pro edition of Windows 10, it's been carried over from the Pro version of Windows XP I had back in the early 2000's, when there was a significant difference between the two.

you cannot opt out of sending diagnostic data to microsoft with windows home (and maybe pro but not enterprise). microsoft is a software company and makes money from data just like google. god bless apple tho our saviours

There was one important difference we ran into with XP Home versus XP Pro, where the former would only allow 5 file-sharing connections at once, while in the latter the limit was 10.
