The BEST Base Locations In DayZ!

I just read the comments and I don't understand how you guys don't lose your base in one day.None of the spots mentioned in the video are safe and probably by the time you reconnect you will find your base raided.

I have had my fair share of "good" spots, but one thing i learned, it will be found eventually, so no place is truly safe, altough i have to admit having a wood base atleast a small open one, just hidden stashes lived the longest for me. Currently i choose a Building base again, and this time i build my base in Pavlovo in the Contaminated Zone, in the post office building, at the rooftop i have clear air, and you can only access it via ladder, wich i placed the fences the way you wouldnt be able to get up with Wires, obviously surrounded the building with layer of Walls. This Base took long time of preperation and looting, befor going for it, i thought ifs inevitable that people find my base, than atleast i can make it harder for them to raid it, now they have to fight the Gas alongside layer of Walls and Zombies.

Me and my 11 man xbox official crew have fully fortified novoya school with walled off tent city on roof 17 layers of gate to get to the big stash. Weve built in the severo apartments sticking out like a sore thumb with walled off top also that base had the best sniping shootouts. And prison island. Yes the best place for a base you can fit 8 gates in the entrance tunnel and layer off the levels and rooms up to 23 layers but they can build a tower on right side of entrance and with 3 people hop over to the barracks side keep at least one person on 24 7 my crew was perfect cause we had brits and Australians so someone was always up

On the original standalone map there used to be a house atop a rock out crop right next to the debug zone all the way west and about 1.5 kilometers from the coast that I used as a base for a long time and it was never found. There were no roads to it and it was seemingly just a random house there but it no longer exists in the current map

Yeah bases were fun too many dopers too many cheaters. Or crawling backwards through your base doors ridiculous so easy to fix all this stuff but they don't. I rather go hide my stuff for 8 months no one has found my stuff. Pluss just log off with 3 sea chests use it as storage. Only way to play nowadays. To many cheaters.

The second location is okay as solo... You get way too much attention as a group

Do people really even read all that often on the coast? I mean, unless there a full on clan, i mean my method it’s just a one gate blocked in wooden shack on the coast because for one most people think you’ll get nothing from it and two most of the people in the coast, the best weapon they’ll have is a UMP or SKS if they’re lucky

My Green mountain base lasted a whole year and never even broke the front gate, if you gate around the fence its so difficult to get in of you put mines all over the back end

There's a cliff edge down past Kamenka. It's got nice open spaces between the bushes and trees and it's very easy to build your base in such a way that the trees and bushes make it nearly impossible to see with a scope. And quite impossible to spot at a distance with the naked eye. And since nothing spawns out there besides trees and bushes that means nobody has a reason to venture that far into the forest. It's almost on the edge of the map. It's close to a group of military tents and the coast. A friend and I had our base there and we were able to comfortably fit 2 car tents with a Humvee and Ada 4x4 in them, 8 canopy tents, two large tents and one medium tent. With room still to expand deeper into the forest but we never did. That base was never found, we kept it there for over a month and it ended up despawning eventually bc we took a break from DayZ and didn't log on to re raise our flag.

I just got killed for the first time by another player, I had a shotgun, I saw him first but still I didnt shot... I gave him a bit of food then I sitted down and he pulled out a knife and stabed me to death, I was so sad, I dont know if I had to kill him on sight, I asumed he was a fresh spawn because he didnt had much and when he saw me holding the shotgun he got scared shitless but I didnt shot him, I said hi, he didnt responded... I had a very lucky spawn, as I said I got a shotgun but I also got a shit ton of food thanks to a player that was alredy dead, and I killed two zombies that had some soda, the only reason I decided to stay was becouse it was raining and I dont know how to make fires. I dont want to kill other players on sight but this got me thinking and I dont know what to do...

A little constructive criticism for you, don’t take 3 minutes to get into the subject matter, ever. Especially in an 8 minute video.

So, back when I played DayZ on console (dupers everywhere). A large group built a base at the prison island. It was the easiest raid ever. I started at 5555 on the combo lock and i believe it was my 3rd guess and i knew the code to all the locks. they didnt change them up lmao. Got inside and locked up behind me. Geared up with their gear and logged off. Waited and logged in while they were online and killed them all lol

I think the best place to build a base is in an area surrounded by Wolves and Bears with only one safe passage, Either North of Devil's Castle or East of Tisy Military Base.

I give up with this game, I finally got my base in order without being killed/ raided and then started to notice items keep going missing.. I was playing on ps4 100xcar/loot/food (something like that), toxic admin abusing powers or bug? I dunno

I remember when I raided one of your base under the bridge at noviy sobor.. at endzone. That base was stacked crazy 😂

DayZ Life Hack: Got a place with no water source? Drop a drum and remove the lid. Rain will slowly fill it up OR dump water from Jerry-Cans.

Novaya apartments were my favorite before they added toxic zones. Got to fight many geared players coming up from airfield

You do know you can glitch through any base or building walls no matter how big or intricate or location? which has just happened to me on official and somehow they changed the locks without breaking down the gates I had literally just left my base turned back to drop a few extra stuff off and there was a guy in my base with new locks no explosions no gunshots.... Then I go to log into my fav community server and it has been emptied and passworded so no one can play until Bohemia fixes this, just looked it up so I can get back into my base and unbuild the walls , you just drop an item on the floor walk back continuously pick up the item into your hands as your character reaches down you aim and you will automatically lay down and you crawl backwards through the wall, also if you do it away from the wall or base wall you will fall under map and can swim under the base then log out and back in and viola!!!! Pointless building a base much better off making stashes in the woods etc........

i would love to see base locations where you can use FLAGS without the flag giving it all away. we liked the double decker red roof barns, if you can place the flag centered, the pole doesnt really poke out the top. and only 2 holes to block, and you can layer it inside using gates and towers. and if done right, you can get 2 Ladas or 2 Golfs inside

Apartments are my favorite spots for discreet solo bases. No walls, just crates n barrels, maybe one wall to block off the floor or room im on. If the complex is small or a standalone building.

Also the four story ones with all the windows in the accessible attics are gr8 just 2 doors and usually surrounded by loads of buildings.

The server i play on rn i took over the ATC tower in vybor for funsies. Incredibly expensive, building takes at least 5 walls to secure the main building. I think i ised 45-50 walls to secure the perimeter wall, but building the fences right behind the walls makes the wall almost impossible to breach. Only way through is to hit the gaps in concrete.

Yeah maybe some more solo bases?

vysytovo school was amazing, we all had our own rooms, gym was the armoury and we all locked off the apartment buildings as watchtowers

Me nd some friends are currently building in the hangar at the balota port, and i gotta say i think its one of the best spots in the game. The only problem is it costs alot to secure completely, but its woeth it in my opinion
