Used to work at a photo printing place. Its crazy how many people dont realise that someone is gonna see ur prints. Not just packing them but quality control etc. We had an old machine that scanned old film and each frame had to be lined up manually. I have seen things i never thought i would see 😂

Ladies, look up Sophia Joel Photography, especially if you're in Missouri. She did mine and offers digitals as well as different printed packages. I got a book and bought my digitals later. I'm single and plus sized and did it for myself. It's a great confidence booster!

I took nude and boudoir type photos me and my bestie took together of eachother. We printed them on the self print machines and had to watch as all my nudes flash across the screen while printing and I just had to stand in front of the entire screen so no one could see. The machine malfunctioned and didn't let me pay so I ended up getting then for free lmao. I put then in a photo book at the back of the photos I had of my bf and I or an anniversary gift for him. So he has cute pics of me and us and some naughty ones in the back just for him.

I worked at Walmart photo center. We were required to check all the photos. Boudoir photos were not an issue but the random guy printing 700 photos. Of him and his wife going at it was. He didn’t tell his wife he was trying to get them printed😅. He called home and told her that Walmart wouldn’t sell him the photos he wanted I heard her yell”what photos”. He explained and I could here her yelling on the phone about how she shops at that Walmart and how she knows the photo girl and that she would never be able to walk in to the store again. She finished by telling him that she needed to know that the photos were destroyed or else he needn’t come home. I had to have a member of management with me when I destroyed them and then I removed them from the computers longer term storage. Security had to come because he wanted to take them home and destroy them himself. It wouldn’t have been a big deal but he made a huge scene. The real lesson here is to always ask if you have permission to print intimate pictures of your partner. Because she was not OK. She sounded so violated and traumatized.

I used to sneak photos of my booty onto my moms old disposable cameras and she always would have them developed in Walgreens. Sometimes they would come thru and sometimes they would say “there were some we couldn’t include” lol

OMG!!! I do h/mu for a boudoir photographer.... She would NEVER have just given you a stack, they at least would have come framed!

I would've bought a printer and photo paper. Printed them at home. 😅 Printers are around $50 to $90 printers come with ink and photo paper is like $20. On top of the privacy you would have a printer at home. I decided to buy one it just made sense for me. I don't print a lot but it's a pain to have to go to the library to print a page or 2. Also sons growing up I thought he might need it for school too.

I developed film for Walgreens and photo hut from 1998 at 16 until I graduated college in 2003. I saw so much weird stuff some bedroom photos of professional quality wouldn't have even made my memory bank.

I did have to call the police 11 times in that span for CP. It was disgusting and traumatic and frankly it keeps me up at night still. Casket photos were also really upsetting. Because you used to develop actual film i had to look at everything for a decent amount of time.

I photographed several weddings. One thing I always did was to put the album together for the couple.
I even did my brother's wedding and album then later gave him some pictures to add. He even commented that he had no idea how to put those pictures into the album.
It takes a certain eye to be able to arrange pictures. Something difficult for the novice or unfamiliar.
I know things are different now with digital photos but the process is the same. Get a photographer friend to help you! It will save you so much frustration!
These special before wedding pictures need to be handled by someone who can see the order the pictures should go. This is a special pre-wedding album! Not one that will be shown to many people.😋
But yes, your pictures will be viewed by the store where you left them. They have to know if all of the prints are good because they don't charge for the bad ones.😊

My brother is a wedding photographer. He brought me on as a third shooter for a wedding when I was maybe 14 years old? The bride wanted me to take her boudoir photos and her mother got very annoyed with me when I said I wasn’t comfortable doing so. Her mom then tried to take the camera from my hands before I could call my brother over. I honestly don’t understand how they couldn’t tell I was under 16, I definitely looked like a kid.

Sorry but they do look at them. They are required by law to do so, but they are just looking for child pornography. Where I worked as long as you were completely nude, we would still print them. FYI... The photo person is used to seeing all kinds of weird stuff and a shoot like this is common. I had a repeat customer that had a thing for coffins. I also became part of a divorce/police investigation because a guy thought it was a great idea to take a bunch of pictures doing meth, with his child in the room. You could see the child in the background while he partied. Disgusting...

I have never worked at a photo development place BUT I did go to art school and we had black and white photography class and we developed film. Do not worry at all. We were all printing each others film all the time, or even our friends and family member's film because we had access to a proper dark room and we saw everything and nothing phased us and nothing was giggled at. We were just developing stuff to hone skills and get photos to fill up our development books and give copies to everyone who asked for them. People who develop photos learn to be detached unless they've taken the photos themselves. The most exciting photo content was not spicy photos but photos of cats or dogs lmao

I worked at Staples and not going to blue we saw them all the time. I was discreet but once I walked in and all the computer guys were checking them out in the copy centre. I was so angry. I would trust no where.

Just a word of advice, some Walmart's have self printing stations and you don't have to give anyone your photos. All you need to do is upload your photos to the self print station and it will be pretty similar to printing off your computer. Just remember that any files can be compromised so make sure you're careful when you're printing anywhere outside your house.

Yes you will be judged they go through every photo but unless its a crime against children your gonna get your pictures, some smirks, and know they are talking about you behind your back and depending on the weirdo printing pictures you might even have them making a double print so they can keep them. 5 years at cvs yes we look and yes we judge.

So umm, how much did you pay. Most packages with photographers include prints and books. So its hard to understand how you ended up printing the photos yourself.

The only way they care is if they suspect indecent photos of someone who is underage as that's totes illegal. And we do see some during the printing process.

I worked at walgreens for a while and the photos pop up on a computer screen before they print, then we put them in the envelope. I definitely saw some body parts that you normally do not expect to see while working retail.

Back in the day, I worked at the Eckerd photo lab developing 35mm film. As long as it's isn't showing a crime or underage stuff we just print away.

as a current cvs employee.. spicy photos are the least interesting photos i’ve seen lmfao. I’ve seen dead bodies from crime scenes, cops standing around pounds and poundssss of weed and drugs that they seized from somebody, and amputation photos. Weird that the police print them through cvs tho right?

They definitely got a show. I was a supervisor at CVS and you can see them all. Policy says that as long as it's not sex it's seen as art. That didn't stop my manager from refusing to print some poor lady's pics and called her to tell her he wasn't going to either. 😅😅 poor thing was probably traumatized listening to that voicemail. 😂
