FIX HP Blue Screen of Death BSOD Kmode Exception not handled error KB4557699 May 26th 2020

I hate the 3rd party software, and always build my own. I am an it manager for a small corporation too though, so I see these issues though. You are trying to tell me that a windows update crashes a computer, yet it's the 3rd party software's fault? Suddenly incompatible? Thats like saying the train was at fault for derailing because it was incompatible with the road they paved over the rails.

The update caused network problems on my Dell machine had to roll back

I totally agree on my new pc and laptop there both hp machines right away i uninstalled all the garbage software and i never had this problem but if i see the new update come thru windows update i will get it just to be on the safe side.

Question Please. Can you link to where that fix is. I can't even find Microsoft updates. Thank you . I know, hopeless : )

I have nothing extra on my HP laptop. Nor had any problems. Thanks for heads up though Gilles.

Off topic as I don't have an HP computer but has anyone else had trouble connecting to Windows Update since Tues May 24? I usually manually update my Windows Defender definitions but have not been able to do so since Tues PM. It just keeps trying to connect sometimes for hours.

That's why as soon as you bought one of these desktops/laptops from manufacturers you just have have to wipe the hard disk and Install a fresh copy of Windows problem solved.

Gilles, I totally agree, computer companies do add too much unnecessary software, they shouldn't be allowed to do that.
