The Philosophy of Ayn Rand

Extreme confirmation bias here. Such a shame that she reduced eudaimonia to the cheaper term 'happiness' and never seemed to problematise or address it.

So selfishness. Wow.

I have one problem with Ayn Rand.

That problem is that I cannot challenge her views, at least, not easily.

Those who hate ayn rand do not understand her. So I cannot challenge her views by discussing them. Because any discussion had is pointless with an intellectually lazy detractor who never read or understood Rands philosophy.

That sucks for me because I was a liberal leftist my whole life. I abandoned the liberal left after essentially being red pilled. All I had done was be truly honest for the first time in my life.

But that honesty lead me to challenge all views. Including rands.

But it sucks because her haters don't understand. I cannot challenge her views by asking for help from others.

If.i was to do it I would basically have to get degrees in philosophy and economics.

But I have this deep need to challenge and seek truth. I am an ayn rand guy 100% but I still wish I could see valid critiques of her rather than the rantings of angry people who lack reading comprehension skills.

My next life, I'm coming back as her daughter

Awesome Ayn Rand.

Her basic message is “I am God”.
Don’t conflate a brilliant mind with being right.
God is God, we are not. We are His creation, God gets to say what is the highest goal, not Ayn Rand. God says put others first.

REASON is a the most beautifull SPIRITUAL POTENTIAL of HUMAN BEEN. Thank you AYN RAND !!

Having never changed your philosophy after acquiring new information, reading new books, meeting new people and thinking about different points of view is not something to be proud of. It either means you’re lying about or minimizing the influence that other people and ideas have had on your own thinking and just assuming that every idea that popped in to your head came from you alone…or it means that you have basically the same beliefs at 50 that you did when you were 7. So she’s either a liar, a simpleton or just completely lacking in self-awareness. To be fair to her, I don’t actually think it’s the first two. But more people should realize how completely oblivious she was about the origin and development of her own ideas.
