A great demonstration - thank you so much. You've inspired me!
ОтветитьHi, there Wytch! I just crossed paths with your channel and this video just made my day. Thanks for the explanation! I'm a beginner in the crochet world but these videos encourage me to explore more and more. Now I'll put an ear to your Podcast lml
ОтветитьGirl mine looks like a dredlock
ОтветитьNice! I actually think I could give this a try now
ОтветитьHow do you get it off of the spindle once it is full? Do you just slip it off? Would that unravel the twists you made?
ОтветитьI do really enjoy this tutorial, overall have found it very helpful as a novice. I really wish, however that you would have showed us a good way to begin spinning without using a lead yarn, just because I find it a strange premise that to make yarn, one needs yarn to begin with. Just a peeve!
I appreciate you for taking the time to make this video, and don’t let my critique make you think otherwise!
Thank you so much for this video, it is the clearest spinning tutorial I have watched 🙂
ОтветитьI just cam across your video. i clicked the link for your kit but it is sold out. Will you be having more kits?
ОтветитьI will chime in with the others that this is one of the better beginner's tutorials: clear and to the point.
Ответитьthank you this helps so mutch i am så great full for this video så bra i am super imprest by you and you look great
ОтветитьThanks a heap for this !
I've wanted to know how to spin for ages, but spinning wheels are dizzying expensive. Fortunately I have a pretty awesome fella that spends a lot of his free time making things, which is how I ended up with a drop spindle today.
I'm an absolute novice, zero knowledge. I had some super chunky wool that to me looked like your roving. Lol.. I pulled it into thinner strands like you showed. Put the already made string, and... omg.. I'm MAKING string 😃🙃😃🤩!!!
Well not a lot of string, maybe half a yard, but hey I did make it. My thumbs are needing toughened, I'm a wuss.
You explained how to do it so so so great. I can't believe how easy you made it to follow. Thank you so very much for taking time from your day to teach this FOR FREE.
I'm pretty sure if I can follow your instruction ANYONE can learn to do this. Much love to you.
I seem to have a drop spindle that doesn't have a hook, only a notch. Please could you suggest how to use it, or should I try and add a hook to it?
I definitely love your tutorial as it seems to be the easiest with the best descriptions I have seen so far.
This is the best explanation of spinning i’ve seen. Thank you so much for this. I’m new to learning and seem to get tripped up in the drafting part, so thank you! 🙏🏽💗
Ответить🌺👍🌺👍🌺👍
ОтветитьDoes this yarn come undone? What’s the best way to unwrap it from the spindle? I’m sorry if my questions are silly. I’m completely new!
ОтветитьI am just learning about this (finally!), I have loads of scrap acrylic yarn, if I cut long enough lengths and carded it, do you think I could spin it into new yarn?
PS - This is the best video I’ve seen on drop spinning! Thank you so much!
thank you - it was helpful
ОтветитьThank you for this wonderful tutorial :)
that yarn- lovely color ♡
I subscribed :)
That was so clear, thanks!
ОтветитьOmg your video is so much more straight forward and my speed being new to this. And it's the first I've watched talking about a leader yarn and explained the parts of the spindle and the terminology. This will make me face my fear and go for spinning. This is something I've wanted to learn to do for years. I finally have a couple of spindles and roving yarn and I'm gonna go for it! Thank you! ♥️
ОтветитьCan you make thick yarn and coiled yarn with a drop spindle?
ОтветитьAh thank you for this!
ОтветитьLovely clear instructions thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video! Informative and to the point. Thank you!
ОтветитьAwesome video and explanation!
ОтветитьGreat video. I seem to have trouble with getting my twist to move up the fibre. It just goes all twisty at the bottom and doesnt want to travel up. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? X
ОтветитьGreat video that's easy to understand. I wished I watched this before buying one as your flower style looks lovely.
ОтветитьHi, Thankyou so much for this video tutorial on "Drop Spinning"
It is undoubtedly the Best One I've seen.
I was bought 2 kits for Christmas and not got anything so consistent so far, but this is definitely the one I'll be watching , again & again.
Thanks again.
Take care & stay safe.

This is one of the best beginner drop spindle videos I've found - would you consider doing one on plying? (In particular, none seem to discuss the pros and cons of 2ply vs 3 ply)
