The blender pipeline tool now supports conversion of imported characters to rigify & retargeting of your IC/actor core libraries inside Blender.
We have EEVEE, cycles along with true volumetrics ,fluids, professional 3D particles and rigid body dynamics.
All without needing an expensive NVIDIA RTX card.
Thanks for the great tutorial I was able to hold on for a full six and a half minutes before I decided I would just use the native IClone renderer - God Bless
ОтветитьNote here that omniverse needs a 2080+, so jot for the light hearted. The userbase is somewhat low because of that, at least for the enthusiasts. The only free renders that I know of, are blender cycles and eevee. If I remember well, the UE link is not Free

ОтветитьThe Iclone Toon shader has been broken since 7.3 -- almost three years and they haven't addressed those issues. This just looks like another non-solution.
ОтветитьThat's a lot of effort for saying: "Don't even try ...". I'm sorry, but the conversion to another render engine is always tedious and full of errors and lighting problems. I'll stay with the native engine, because I want to have fun, animating scenes and creating movies. This looks like torture to me ...
ОтветитьIt would be Good to show the speed difference of Iray Render in iClone VS Omniverse because at least in iClone, I can collapse the viewport (close all side panels and drag the timeline up) and get almost 3 times the render speed (Photorealistic) and additionally in the taskbar, right click on iClone, go to details set the system priority to High and get an additional 2x the speed on top of all the other optimizing techniques. Maybe I'll compare them both sometime. The main issue when rendering is that often the computer is rendering whatever is in the viewport and the stills or video frames at the same time which slows everything down. What I loved about Indigo is complete flexibility , also now compatible with RTX, you can make your own home render farm, it outputs about the same amount of files if sent to the standalone as Iray but at least it's compatible with smooth mesh by subdivision. There is also the ability to make any object a light source etc. At least the ability to export to Indigo Stand Alone should have been preserved -professional film making.

ОтветитьI've been making short movies since September 2021 with no prior experience. I started with Unreal but found it too complicated. I discovered iclone and was able to make several movies in a short period of time due to the simplicity of the tools. I think what you are trying to achieve is great. Take the easy to use tools in iclone and render in engines that are focused on movie creation. I'm learning Unreal again so I can take my iclone created content and render in Unreal. The problem at this time is iclone doesn't work with UE5. Hoping this is resolved soon. I want to see what I can do with iclone+Unreal. Can't wait to see improvements in CC4 and iclone 8.

I have question : You used Unreal live link for Unreal 5 , I have Ue4.25/4.26/4.27 in my Iclone7 Livelink plugin folder ! , Can I ask you please , How can I have UE5 live link too , I am still on UE5 beta version , do I need to Install final release of UE5 for IClone7 to UE5 Live link ? I really appreciated 🙏

ОтветитьGreat video. I've used Vray since 2009sh. From my experience. Vray for humans(creatures) fire,liquid,smoke,grass and trees,sky. Unreal for static geometry, rocks, background sets etc.

If iclone users r forced to use Blender or Unreal to be able to render cinematic style , those users may move to Unreal or to Blender , because that will be free . All is about get use to it ...Ones the iClone users may learn how to use Blender or Unreal , what will stop them to use permanent those programs and return to iClone ? It is logic...
