Look, I'm a trapper,hunter & fisherman with a life of near 60 yrs on the farms & in the country. From what i see,the gator is the coyote of the water world. I hope some of u gator hunters hear,read or see of this comment I'm leaving. I'm totally serious & not joking or clowning around. I think that good long distance coyote lure, put on the bait or a small piece of bio degradable cloth like cotton just above it could increase catch success. Maybe a particular color of cloth works best? U will have to play with it to find what is best,but I know junk cotton tee shirts can be had in all colors & really cheap. Trapper J has some stuff called, "oh Fucc!" Named after its odor,it might be the ticket. I'd try it myself. Common, baby eaters? That is truely nuisance wildlife. Give it a whirl,u never know?
