Mandela Effect - "Luke, I Am Your Father"

I always remembered it “No, I am your father” but people would argue it. One of the most famous lines in cinema, and everyone gets it wrong.

Yeah, but Luke definitely shouted "CARRIE!" in Star Wars, no matter what Hamill or Lucas says.

Season 1 Episode 2 of the show “My name is Earl” there’s a scene about 10 mins in where Randy asks an old man who sounds like Darth Vader… Hey! Say “Luke I am your father”

Why is this happening? Are the making these edits just to fuck with us? Or is something greater/larger at play?

Original releases have the “Luke I am your father” line. Not Mandela effect, just a change during the releases that Lucas kept doing

Star wars was big in my high school (some 20y ago). We had movie nights and we were all running around proclaiming 'Luke, I am your father'.

Theatrical public release version says "Luke, I am your father." The first uncut version put on a limited remastered version has the original unedited "no...I..am your father." I didn't know this until I looked it up.

i think they edited it out in some version of the movie because i was watching an old recording of this scene and he did say "Luke".

This isnt a mandela effect. There are theater reactions from the 80s to this scene where vader says "no luke, i am your father." I came here just to say this cause i just watched one and heard it and i remenber this being called a mandela effect.

Does nobody know about editing for remastered releases? The original was Luke, i am your father.. New releases are No, I am your father.. I have the original vhs which is luke and the dvd which is no... This Mandela Effect is gibberish

For me I 100% remember everyone saying “luke I am your father” on the playground, at home randomly, in social settings etc. but I never actually watched the movie until late 2000s. So I personally believe it’s one of two things happening:

1. The Mandela effect as most think
2. So many people misquoted the movie cuz “Luke I am your father” was just easier to say in random social situations to be “funny”. And then people mass remember how people misquoted it as opposed to the actual line

even though there is a Jackass in here Mocking the Mandela Effect Idea, I clearly remember him saying Luke, not "no". Just like most people.

So I'm one of them that slipped from a different reality to this one... doesn't surprise me.

S6. Ep22 of the simpsons at the end, darth-vader comes in a cloud and says Luke I am your father. Mandela effect changes aren't thorough and if you look hard enough you'll find inconsistencies.

I clearly remember after Luke said “He told me you killed him,” Vader saying “Hey, not to change the subject, but did you know they were actually called the Berenstain Bears, not the Berenstein Bears?” THEN Luke said, “No, that’s not true! That’s impossible!”

They edited the lines. I just checked the video of the first cinema reaction and he actually said "No, Luke, I am your father", so mandella effect is not true in this case, they are just messing with us

It's been edited. It's "No Luke, I am ur father." They just cut out "No Luke" mystery solved!
