Fortunately I haven't had to test this and hope I never do but it is my understanding that having your permit and therefore having gone through the safety training, proficiency test, backround check, and fingerprint process looks better to a District Attorney and a possible jury in the event you need to use your weapon in a self defense scenario. Some good (i.e. justifiable) shoots still end up in court so having your permit and showing a jury you did everything "the right way" so to speak buys you some grace.

Florida is actually the 27th constitutional carry state, it became one in early 2023 when the bill was passed by Florida governor Ron DeSantis, it does NOT require one to have a recognized Georgia carry permit.

What finger print scan?? I have mine from wisconsin and didnt need it i sat in a class from 9am to 1pm watching videos and verbal lessons then send in the paperwork to the state and my fee to get my conceal carry license

In Wisconsin even with a permit you need a background check by the way! Figured it out building my first AR I asked the ffl guy but if you go to the same dealer later I think you don’t need the background check

I have the enhanced permit here in Arkansas we have constitutional carry. I have a permit because I travel a lot for work to many states.

the biggest benefit to the GWL people dont talk about: the georgia weapons permit covers other weapons. constitutional carry doesnt cover swords and battle axes, the Georgia Weapons License does. i can carry all federally legal weapons with the GWL. conny carry only covers guns.
