ОтветитьVery good video. However, on the fully extended position when you're down, you also completely unlock your shoulders bringing you into a deadlift position which increases your risk of injury. Instead, tighten your shoulders and scapula at the bottom of your pull and always keep some space between your traps and ears.

ОтветитьCan I keep my legs bent behind me for the arch back pull ups? My bar is in a garage with a low ceiling, so I have to fold them behind me to keep my feet from touching the floor.

Ups but usually the last two are hollow and I can’t help it.
i did 5 of the arch back pull ups and it healed my forward head posture and cell phone hunch neck.... I've been to physical therapy a few times.. this totally fixed all my pinched nerves in my neck also perfect chest puff out posture. and it also fixed my pelvic tilt so my lower back is perfect!!! its a damn miracle

ОтветитьAs a big guy at 275, pull ups finally clicked for me when I arched the back instead of going up and down. It made it so much easier. When the weight gets heavy (80 lbs) I seem to default to a hollow pull.
ОтветитьI just realized that I don't have the shoulder and chest mobility to even attempt the hollow-back pullup motion regardless of resistance. I can do ~10 rounded-back pullups, but 0 chance of getting the my chest anywhere close to the bar. Any advice.?

ОтветитьWhen he mentions doing weighted pullups. Can't you just turn the belt around to fix the shearing forces?
ОтветитьPull ups were always a kind of natural thing for me. I could do 20+ pull ups even though vertical push ups were always a struggle, maybe 10× reps at 50 kg. Some people are naturaly just better or worse at some excercises.

ОтветитьOur Captain could do perfect pullups. Straight as a line. A lot of us had that problem. No matter what we did, the legs went forward.
