i might need it. heh
ОтветитьOh, when you have so much antivirus, antispyware, antimalware and antibacteria running, IT WILL be slow for a reason.
Ответитьthat pc is older then me XD
ОтветитьAfter watching nearly the whole video wondering 'Who tf is this"
I realized this is what his face looks like ohmygod
I was born in 2008
Jesus
funny how I can’t even run rocket leave at 4k max graphics
ОтветитьNext Video: How bad is a car from 2006? Amazing, it runs over 100kph!!
ОтветитьHow is gonna be a 5000 dollar and 10 year old PC bad if my PC costed 1000 dolar 10 years ago and it's still good in low RAM dependant games... I just had to buy a new one because most games are unplayable at DDR3 RAMs, but the rest of the PC is quite OK...
ОтветитьTrying to feed an AIO cooler on this would be a nightmare.
ОтветитьAnd here I am stuck with a Lenovo laptop from 10 Years ago
ОтветитьDid they ever end up doing that SLI test with 16gb ram? Didnt find anything =/
ОтветитьI'm here from the modern Quad-FX video and it's hard to believe this is the same Linus.
ОтветитьI have an above average pc, I can garentee you it can’t play 4k high that well
ОтветитьIt's kinda crazy how much computers rely on CPUs, including CPU heavy games. Your graphics card is only there to really convert numbers into video 😂
ОтветитьHa! My good 'ol 2006 Core2Quad system is consuming 300W running 1080p!
ОтветитьOkay look i know this is 3 years old video but this guy is running bullshit tests on older hardware. He Should Run those games at 1080p not forcing 4k
ОтветитьProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
this guy is 10 years old + - some months... only the GPU is changed, cuz the 960 died a couple of years ago :)
Its better still than my upgraded pc with i7 870 from i3 550😂
ОтветитьWhy does it feel like my $300 prebuilt is better than this thing I can run OBS record/stream and game all at the same time and adobe premiere pro is no problem either. Radeon Rx 570 (looking to upgrade to Radeon 6600xt) i5-3330k, mtb foxconn hpseries I think 2500 or 3500 can't remember. 2x 8gb ram total 16gb. 512 ssd.
ОтветитьIt's fascinating to witness the transformation this channel has experienced over time. Fast forward to 2023, the improvements in the flow of things are remarkable, and I'm relieved you've moved past the old style of producing videos. Your overall approach to creating content in 2023 has significantly gotten better. Looking back at the older LTT content, it's a humbling reminder of how far you've come and how much you've grown.
ОтветитьIt’s 15 years old now. Do it again. Same exact hardware or it doesn’t count. 😊
Ответитьhow is this 10yearold pc better then my new one😢
ОтветитьDamm, still better than my Nintendo Switch at playing Rocket League 💀
Ответитьsucks that i built that and now still using it bc how much this shit was
Ответитьand im over here with my i9 running 14 cores x.x
Ответитьyou could likely get the same or better performance and a way higher efficiency for under 500$ today
ОтветитьMan i have a 800 bucks pc from 2012
Ответитьhonestly I feel like repeating this now, with a high end system from 2013, would not show as much difference. I just checked, I got my computer 5 years ago. Granted, I replaced the GPU some.. 2 years ago or so because the old one died, and GPU is probably the most important for my use case, but apart from that (and some new case fans) it's the same system as 5 years ago. I can still play most games in reasonably high details and framerate at 1440p. It feels like while hardware undoubtably moved on, but demand for hardware did not. I blame consoles. I remember the time where every year meant vast improvements, but for like 10 years games more or less looked the same. Maybe more raytracing now.
Compare duke nukem 3D (1996) to half life 2 (2004, not even ten years) to GTA V (2013) to now. Not much changed. you could sell GTA V as a new game today, nobody would call it dated
I have a 10 year old Windows 7 system, cost me no more than $800 to build & it still does most of what I need it to do just fine.
ОтветитьN THIS EPISODE. MISTER HARRY POTTER DEW FUNNY FACE IN THIS EPISOND LOOKED AT THE FACE AT THE HOST IN THE STORY AND EYES TO TO GINNY WEASLEY HE. LOVE
ОтветитьCitybuilders are famously CPU-hungry, so saying "GPU is more important for gaming" and then starting this particular game seems silly.
ОтветитьOff topic: Linus looked way better without the beard.
Ответитьthat pc from 10 years ago is still faster at opening stuff than my 1-2 year old gaming laptop :(
ОтветитьMate Im running on a €800 euro pc from 9 years ago.
Ответитьwhat was the GPU
Ответить14 years ago
ОтветитьBuilt a PC in 2012 with an Intel DX58SO2 mobo and i7-980 cpu and was playing WZ1 up until early 2022 when it just couldn't handle the game anymore.
Ответитьim watch this video from mac pro 3.1 2008 with dual xeon x5482 and 64gb fbdimm ddr2.. also gtx 970 4gb.. and yes, i can play 1080p today games :D
Ответитьmy system was top of the line when i built it in 2017 wich the absolute best of the best parts back then(i did go with first gen ryzen instead of the 4 core intel though) and it can still run many of the newest games at high settings 1440p at 60 fps.
Though its starting to dip to 50 fps in the newest tripple a titles like last of us(though that game is poorly optimised)
Back when nvidia didnt milk their customers dry. The 1080ti is still one beast of a card for being 6 years old
man my pc is from 2012 and i game on it all day
ОтветитьI've been thinking about this in my head without saying anything about it and got this video
yeah, fawkin right what a "coincidence" thanks for reading what's in my head.
It feels great defecating while watching Linus tech tips , oh man
ОтветитьHow you get back your channel if its all gone???????
ОтветитьI remember in the early 2000's, and even in the 2010s Flat-screen TV's were in the thousands! A tv that cost $300 today, would cost you a few grand in 2005, for the same technology! I paid $800 for my limited edition 80GB reverse compatible Playstation 3 in 2007. Crazy how technology has actually become affordable.
ОтветитьThis brought back flashbacks to my old Intel Skulltrail, Abit AT8 32X, & DFI boards or gaming Asus Re3? 2xATI HD6990
ОтветитьThat exact same board I watched my friend crack the board after he put the memory on just as Linus did. Dark flashbacks watching the box flex as he pressed down
ОтветитьI'd be curious to see how this build runs on Atlas OS
Ответить
