Not a monk. Ppl have the wrong idea about shaolin. First if all. All these ppl r just part of a martial art school close by the temple. They rnt buddhist practitioners at all. They never trained in the temple. And what he was trained in from just looking at the techniques resembles sanda.

Shao-lin is hard to use in mma. Most of the techniques are designed for self defense or art and generally illegal. Iron training, taichi, yijing stretching, etc, are the only things really usable. Mixing those exercises with juijitsu is key. It's gotta be mixed.
