Russia actually has only two cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Everything beyond that is wilderness and poverty. I was born and live in SPb. I love my sity, but i need to say:
1. "Beaches of Saint-petersburg" - ahaha!!! no-no-no. Its just illusion
2. White nights are perfect, but "gray days" of october-november are not so attractive. For example, in first part of November, 15 days, sun shined totally 42 MINUTES. Dont go here in autumn.
3. Sometimes it can be snow on may.
4. 1000-2000 USD/monut - it's center in high season.
5. Nothing was said about Petergof, Pushkin, Gatchina and other "suburban" places. And, of course, Viborg.
