On Cloudboom Echo Review: Three runners give their verdict on On’s carbon racing shoe

Do you guys know when the Echo 2 is getting a release?

how would they feel compared to the skechers speed elite?

Just want to point out that the price of the Cloudboom Echo isn’t quite the same as the Next % 2. Probably more expensive than the Endorphin Pro, but there are only 2 colour-ways in the Next % 2 that are cheaper (and they came out around the pre- early release phase). Every other Next% 2 released since then is upwards of £224.

Great video. I had a bad experience with ON in the past as the CloudStratus was very hard (while advertised for marathon or heavy runners -I am only 145 lb-) and could not do it. I am glad other people are enjoying them. Perhaps these do not feel as concrete.

Excellent reviews as usual. Thanks guys. 😊 I was waiting for you to criticize the ridiculous price. I don't understand ON marketing and sales. 🤔 I have the latest version of the excellent Cloudflow. It is priced appropriately in line with the competition, but this shoe is a crazy price compared to what you get with the competition. And I think the plate has only 15% carbon. Not understanding why they would introduce a good race shoe at a price that equals the Nike equivalent.

Looking forward to see them in the Olympic Tokyo marathon this Friday. A GB athlete will be racing these.

Found the comment “if you’re the type of runner that likes to get all the super shoes…” off putting as it sort of is me 😄 but it feels like I have enough of them to get me close to the 50 states - and I’m at 8 different states - so it’s a no for me. Although, it is a nice looking shoe and I was born in Switzerland…
