My 10900k still runs as good as it did the first day i got it, its actually INSANE what a beast it is and i dont see a need of change until atleast 5-6 years especially since im playing in 3440x1440p.

my girls 9600k is starting to slack and i really notice the difference between the 9600k and then jumping on my 10900k directly after lmao.

Still today worth getting if you can get one for 300-350 bucks.

absolute BEAST CPU.

8 gen was a stopgap with the core/theads only last one gen. 9 gen was a stopgap with removing HT from I7. 11gen is a stopgap with no much improvement other than PCIE4 over 10GEN...
So I guess the 10gen ended up being the best buy in the Intel route in the last... 4 years? lol

So what you're saying is the 10900k is good for gaming and light work loads if you're wanting both lol. Oh well I'm a year late on this video and got a 10850k for my rig

Is 5.4ghz i9 10900k all core safe? max temps 73° (Oc for Gaming Only) obviously crash under work loads.. Will this high frequency break it or let it die after some period of time? Would really apreciate professional advice.. my games run smooth a butter though and 0 crashes with any game so far..

I saw a i9 10850K for 340$, I couldn't pass it up. It wasn't a huge upgrade from the i9 9900k but it was big enough to justify upgrading when you can resell the 9th gen for 350$ on ebay used.

I'm surprised companies can't get BIOS and UEFI down in terms of naming schemes. BIOS is a not an umbrella term meant to encompass "Legacy BIOS and UEFI." BIOS is a completely outdated and dinosaur method of booting devices that has worked well in the mid 70's to early 2000's. UEFI isn't even built on-top of BIOS. It's been worked on from the ground up and does everything differently than BIOS with the main difference being the lack of bootstrap code in the 1st sector of the storage device and instead needing an .efi partition. VERY few companies can correctly get the naming right even though UEFI has been the default on computing devices for many years now. Oddly, Microsoft gets it correct when looking at the recovery and firmware prompt.

If Intel had "ammo", they would release 12 core and had 10 core as cheaper brother. BUT they struggle in silicone production. They are losing in rendering market. And gaming market share is lost due to cheaper AMD versions, though not at as high fps as Intel's 10 core, or even 9900k, that is still winning against every amd cpu in gaming.

But price of Intel. Battle is being lost.
Intel fell behind. Amd is racing through the market. Eventually AMD will beat Intel in gaming.

Intel ran out of "ammo" for a reload.
Yet, they have been headshotting AMD for over 20 years.

Now you have struggle for market. And instead of taking market back, they can't even produce consumer 12 core.

If I was in Intel as an employee, I would shift to AMD with a sneak tip resume.

Hopefully, people in Intel don't lose jobs.

I got my 3900x because I am working on a blender render involving the smoke simulation, which at the time I built my pc, still wasn't supported on gpu compute. But I believe I have gotten a decent oc out of it at 4.425 ghz, and with that, I find it is quite good for recording gameplay if I set the game to as many cores as it needs in task manager(usually 4), and then set streamlabs to use 6 cores on the other ccx. Everything turns out buttery smooth, and in certain games, like Doom, I'm able to exceed 240hz at 2k resolution. Not knocking Intel, I know they're still the kings of gaming. I'm just saying don't comlletely knock amd for gaming either. If you set things correctly and have a good cooling set up, it can be fairly easy to get close to intel territory. Although I would still direct Ryzen more towards people looking for workstations, or for people looking to multitask over just gaming.

Watching Gamer Nexus's video on the Core i9-10900K made me feel proud and as an avid gamer, that I made the right decision in getting the 10900K over both the 3900X and the 3950X in terms of gaming.

The only way I would get the 3900X or the 3950X is if I was either a media professional (which I am not) or a licensed computer engineer which I am not yet. I am in college now learning Electric and Computer Engineering.

Love the competition AMD Ryzen and Intel Core are bringing to the tech enthusiasts!!!!!!

I am suped-up and ready for the NVIDIA RTX 3000 Series to come out!!!!!!

Would you consider adding ARMA3 to your tests for CPUs, it's ridiculously CPU intensive.

I got my i7 4790k back in the day for A3 and I'll probably end up getting my next CPU for ARMA4 too, willing to bet there are a lot of people out there in the same boat.

As always fantastic review and thanks for helping me finally start to understand some of the finer details when it comes to component performance.

I'm surprised you didn't use ARMA 3 to compare the CPUs, since it's biggest bottleneck is the CPU.
